 The sun blazed above and enchanting blue eyes turnd towars them coldly. Clawed paws came to a halt as the lion stepped into the shde of a nearby tree. The pride was a distance away; Iah doing his business and Shawnie nowhere to be seen. So, it seemed, he had a little time to himself. Though, he didn't really know what he was to do with it. Annoyed, he wrinkled his nose and glared to the clouds. Beneath his paws, the rocks molded to fit the groove he left, curving around his paws as if liquid.

With the quirk of a melody, Reykuri wove a small spiral of water into a delicate ice sculpture at the edge of a slow-moving stream. It was more than she'd been able to do as a Kit, and so the result pleased her. Fragile and lovely, the twining of the two 'strands' wound about each other with enough space between them she could have probably fit her foreleg.
Colored ice-blue and painted with the orange light, it was a fine thing to sing into making... A little thing, that required no more than a basic melody her siblings and mother had taught her. This particular idea she owed to Casalure, who had told her of singing water into snowflakes during winter, and sparked the plan to try it with river water.
"It looks as though I am successful, Brother." She laughed, her bell-like voice ringing across the land.

Her words, shrill yet soothing, made him quirk a brow. The rocks released his paws and Devon turned his head, his ears perked. A voice such as that could belong to no ordinary lion. Curiosity took its hold and he wandered towards the water, catching glance of the blue lioness as he neared. A light smirk grew to his maw as he moved closer, silent as he watched the sculpture grow out of the waters. His steps grew to a halt and his claws dug into the earth, strands of stone growing from the bottom of the lake to twine around the sculpture.
"Why hello there, m'lady."

Reykuri felt the rumble in the earth and surged to her paws, staring in shock and disbelief as the very stone grew through the waters to twine about her delicate creation. She spun at the purring voice, the words that nearly touched her with their charming quality.
A dangerous voice that... She suppressed a shudder as she faced the male, noting he was different than any she'd met yet in these lands. He was not maned the way most of the others were, with it pouring down his chest and back, but it was in fact rather short... Different...
And his eyes...
"Greetings." She purred back, the tempting melody of her song-like voice softened. "Your gift, My Lord.. If I may say, is quite impressive...."
She gestured to the wound stone -as sinuous as her water sculpture- with a flick of her tailfeathers.

Devon paused a moment at her words. "My Lord? Ah, lioness, such formality isn't needed." He flicked an ear and walked towards her, pausing a little ways away. "As is yours." He motioned to the water sculpture with a tilt of the head. His ears flickd, the long flakes waving through the air, and the earrings jingled delicately.
"Devon. Second in Command of Silver Lined Shadows. And who might you be?" Arching a brow, he flicked his tail gently.

She absorbed his words with the faintest of nods, eyes gleaming, then fading to an almost normal -almost non-glowing- blue-green color. Glancing once more at the water sculpture, she flushed a little, with equal pride and ebarrasment.
"Thank you." She said softly, quickly unwinding the melody and letting the water flow back to its natural course. "Devon of Silver Lined Shadows... I am Reykuri, a Princess of Temple's Decorations..."
She dipped her head faintly. "A pleasure to meet you..."
