As an otherkin, do you like your human form? Do you enjoy blending in with humanity, or would you rather be able to appear as your true form?

Speaking from the perspective of someone that doesn't feel they have a non-human form, I'd say that if I did, then I'd not want to abandon it very often. I imagine the attention you'd receive would be anything but positive.

I've gotta agree with Obscurus.
I'd love to be able to take my non-human form, but it would attract a lot of attention. Not as much in a zoo, but a lot of attention even then.
However, it would be nice to take my form in privacy.

I like my human form, and it's a little more practical for Earth than my otherkin form anyway.

I don't really have a non-human form either, I was born in human flesh so I'm pretty comfy with it. But I know many 'kin who would love to be able to embrace their true forms... My dragonkin friends in specific seem keen on it.

Now... I have no set preference.. but for actions rather than the form itself..
I Loooove taking long hot showers. Now, that's not practical if you'r fully furred. It takes my short hair a few hours to dry out. To dry out a full body fur would take hours and hours and hours and hours and hours.... And typing would be harder with the claws... And I wouldn't fit into any of my clothes anymore.... And it'd suck to be hunted down and experemented on... or worse...
Stuff like that.. Besides, there's no point in wallowing in missing my old form, not like I can do anything about it what so ever at this point.

My true form isn't something physical....so, as it is now, it wouldn't be practical to take that form here. I wouldn't be able to communicate with anyone who wasn't pre-disposed to communicating with spirits, for one. That wouldn't work at all, as I have an agenda here and it rests on me being able to communicate. As a spirit, there wouldn't be enough people aware of my presence for anything to work.
Mind you, I wish this body could levitate....but other than that, it suits my purpose.

Hmm. If I had my form out and about without this body, then I could just change into this shape anyway.
However, I occasionally enjoy things like eating and drinking and sex and stuff you really just cannot appreciate without a physical body.
Plus we'd have a comatose shell of me lying in a bed somewhere. O.o

Nope. I would rather stay humanish.
Though, a 'true form' for me would probably make me still look human enough. I... : / Can't see how it'd be nice to be looked at like I'm a freak.
If all otherkin were in their true form, then yeah. I would love to be in my true form.

My dragonkin friends in specific seem keen on it. That's odd, at least for me. Although I was born into a human body, I am not always comfortable in it. I get these times when it just doesn't feel right, and I especially got them before I found out I was a therian. I would lie in bed and toss and turn, not being able to be comfortable, but deeper than that if you can know what I mean. Everything just felt wrong, as though my limbs didn't fit right or something. I felt like I was suffocating in this body, almost, I just felt so contained in this form that didn't feel right for me. I have a huge desire to be able to assume my true form, no matter how impossible it is.

I would love to have my true physical form. However my original "form" is formless.

I would love to be able to shift into my wolf at will, but despite my therianthropy, I have never felt entirely inhuman.

from what i know, i dont have any in-human forms, but if i could change into a form other than human, ide probably not do it that much so that the general public could see, and more when it was just me or other people who knew about it
plus theres things ide miss doing if i didnt have a human body, so at times it would be fun, others i dont mind having a human body

I'm quite happy to blend in and use my ever-so-awesome opposable thumbs for origami and video games. Also, I like being able to snuggle under my boyfriend. If I were in a dragon form, he would find the spines, thorns, and wings terribly painful.
A dragon would probably be shot, or something equally unpleasant if they appeared to people here. Having a dragon body would be fun, but it's just so much more convenient to be a human in a human's world.
If I could control it and change at will, of course! Why would anyone turn down a special ability they could control? biggrin

When you are as old as I am, you will become bored with your true life and true form, This body is merely an experiment of mine.
