So....I saw something for everyone but the guardies.. I i thought in my little guardie mind and decided to make a little thread for the guardies... so... who else is a lovable guardie?

I am a colorguard member and this up coming marching band season will be my 4th year in guard. I love it and I am hoping that this year I will be captain. When I graduate I will have been in colorguard for 5 years. I'm not just a colorguard member. I help the band parents out at basketball games (since colorguard does not perform) with the consecion stand. And during the games I help out the percussion if someone is missing or if they just need me. Guard is my life and since my school has yet to start a winter guard program I am without it for these months crying . I cannot wait for it to start again. YOU don't has WINTERGUARD?!?!?! I is sooooo sorry for you! I luffles my winterguard! This year our show is titled Hands By Jewel and we ad a comp like just last Saturday at Kings college in Tennessee and we got FIRST PLACE in the novice class our score was a 70.something and we might get bumped up to high school intermediate! I'm so excited! We are amazing! And um......our Marching Band is pretty good too! we got a lot of trophies for that....colorguard got first place at Marshall (which is kinda like Championships for us) But enough bragging about how good my guard is... how is you?

This year our show is titled Hands By Jewel and we ad a comp like just last Saturday at Kings college in Tennessee and we got FIRST PLACE in the novice class our score was a 70.something and we might get bumped up to high school intermediate! I'm pretty good. We don't have a winterguard because we don't really have a colorguard instructor. We recently got a new band director and he's fresh out of college so he doesn't have it all down pat just yet. In 06' we didn't have a guard instructor at all let alone a winterguard program. And then in 07' a colorguard and drum major alum was our guard intructor. But...she's pregnant and going to college so after this marching season she had to give up her job. So, HOPEFULLY next year we will have a winterguard program. I would love that. You just have no idea!!!!

Our guard instructor is new this year....his name is Todd and he's from Basset high school... he has like two other guards besides us and we don't see him a lot but it's pretty cool cause where I'm from Todd is famous, it's really cool I hope you get to have a winter guard! I luffles it sooo much!

i'm a sophmore in guard and hoping 2 b capt. cuz no seniors or juniors but tiz all good we have a winterguard and we r doing through heavens eyes this song is from the prince of egypt

that's awesome! And I am proud to report that we recently got bumped to Highschool intermediate! Oh and incase you're wondering we're in the CIPA circut. We're doing the song Hands by jewel.

Everyone should tell us who your color guard instructor's name is. and something special about them. My instructor is Ronnie and he is part color guard instructor, part editor in the local newspaper and part proffesional clown known as scooter. who do you guys think is better at teaching color guard a female or a male?

We've had 5 instructors in the past 5 years burning_eyes yeah I know stare 1st we had Paul he was gay, and didn't teach us any basics at all. and then we had Corey and Buddy the sons of our coaches, then our coaches were fired and they didnt last long anyway. Then we had John, he was a MAJOR perve and made us all REALLY uncomfortable. and now we have Mallory, mrgreen SHE IS AWESOME!!! I love her =]

Our directors name is Scruggs hes a mess ever sence our asestent derector Ms.Brown quit. I think shes the one who kept things orginized.

We've had our instructor for 4 yrs... I've had her for 2 though and her name is Stephanie... she is really cool and really spastic. I have done flag and sabre... and am learning rifle for winterguard. There is only 5 in our regional A and we are having auditions for the Sr flag line (pfft)... I love colorguard and we just got straight ones at state!!! biggrin
