I just caught an episode of this show, also on The History Channel and it's quite interesting. The one I saw had to do with the moons of the solar system and how they think they came to be where they are and whether or not any of them have life on them. Their best bets for life are Europa, Titan and possibly Oberon I believe. I might try to catch this show again.

Nifty! Why might those 3 have life?

I know that Titan has some form of water on it and has been said that it's the most suitable for life...that is, life that can withstand extreme cold...

Right, Titan has water ices along wiht the methane and hydrocarbon ices and volcanic activity. Europa has a deep water ocean under about a 6 mile thick ice crust that covers the entire surface of the moon and they also believe volcanic activity. Oberon, you guessed it, volcanic activity. I think it was Oberon.

I really love the Universe, it's a very informative show. I have Cosmic Holes on my I-pod. The probe we sent to Titan will be done collecting images in 2010, right? That should be interesting to see.

There was an ardical resently about a planet that they found that they think may hold life but after a little more research they found out it was a false alarm. It was sad because I got really excited about it and had even done a big research paper on it and two days after I handed in the paper I found the new release call it a false alarm. But I think it is now being consitered a fact that there is no other life in our solar system that us.

I still think Europa has the best chance...
But this sort of reminds me of a project I did in eighth grade...(I know, slightly off-topic)
We had to do a "vacation adveryisement" to a moon in the solar system. I chose Europa (no one elso wanted it; they were all fighting over Io, Ganymede, and Phoebe because those are the ones we studied most in-class XP). So I did the "Interstellar "Winter" Olympics with special coverage of "rocket curling" (imagine the rock; now imagine the rock skipping across miles and miles of ice with a set of rockets attached XD)
Good times, good times...

lol that sounds like a cool report!
@ Germanicus: I'm not sure we'll get to Mars. Space is remarkably inhospitable to human life. The dangers are myriad and it's a long, long way from any kind of help when something goes wrong.
