Bio: Grew up in Crimea with her parents and younger brother. When she got older, she was sent to a school in Begnion to begin training to become a Pegasus Knight.
When the Daein army attacked Crimea for the second time, Maria was sent over there to help escort the royal family, but during a midnight ambushed, she gravely wounded, and thought dead. She had thought all hope was lost, but a wandering traveler found her and healed her. She returned to Begnion only to find the state in utter chaos. She went into hiding with some other beorc in the eastern most part of Begnion. This group of people turned out to be a small mercenary group that she is now part of.

Bio: Ventro grew up in a poor village on the Crimea/Daein border. His parents were killed by Petrine of Daein's Four Riders during a raid. Raised by a poor but kindly drifter named Legault, Ventro learned not only how to steal to survive, but a code of honor coveted by Legault's formerly legendary organization, the Black Fang. He descoverd that he possessed an innate talent for theft and concealment. In his early teen years he left his only companion Legault to seek his fortune. Wandering in search of money to be stolen, Ventro met a Daein noble on a backroad. When the noble refused to give Ventro any food or money, Ventro killed him. Thus he discovered that he had ice water in his veins. Armed with the knowledge that he had the power to kill Ventro set out to become a rogue of such accomplishment as to get near to General Petrine. For once near her, nothing could stop him from administering the Fang's justice...

Bio: Rajaion the II is the son of former Mad King Ashnard's mount Rajaion and Ena. He left home at an early age after a fight with his mother. During his travels, he met many diverse beorc and laguz. Through interesting circumstances, he came to know the king of every laguz race. Rajaion met Ventro while visiting Gallia's King Carneighis, and Ventro's friendly manner toward laguz interested him. The two traveled together for a while as Ventro's work as an assassin took them across the entire continent. Rajaion then left Ventro for a while to help Begnion laguz to abolish the illegal slave trade. Recently Rajaion joined up with Ventro again, and began helping his friend in his work again. Rajaion helps Ventro because the assassin is one of the only beorc that he ever met that prefers the company of laguz to that of other beorc.
