what do people think about Catcher In The Rye? I personally loved the book and thought it was a good read

Hmm... I read it a while ago, so I don't recall exactly what I liked about it. I was very impressed, though.

I thought that it was very good.
The writing style has an originality about it that I particularly like.
I think though, now it's being so overused in English schools - like it's on the syllabus for English Lit GCSE and almost half the population reads it. I know that thats a good thing, but all this analysis and everything into the story, its like its not Salingers anymore. But thats just my opinion.
But yeh, its a really good book.
