While effective enough, the ranking system in the Gaia guild network is largely inflexible and only serves a limited purpose. The Sith Empire was and is known for its strict and ordered hierarchy, and so I establish these Sith ranks.

Dark Lord of the Sith

"The Sith must be ruled by a single leader, the very embodiment of the strength and power of the dark side."

The Dark Lords of the Sith are the leaders of the Sith Empire. Master and apprentice, they are the greatest and most powerful of the Sith Lords.

Sith Master

Sith Master is a title taken by Sith if they have an apprentice. This is a title awarded only to those Sith who have proven their worth, since it enables them to guide the training of others.

Sith Lord

Sith Lords are the leaders of the Sith. They command armies of Sith Minions, Acolytes and Warriors during wartime and rule through a governing body known as the Sith Council. Sith Lords use the Dark Side of the Force to inflict misery, suffering, and corruption. They are also tasked with preserving the lore of the Sith by passing all their knowledge on to their acolytes. While they do not enter combat as often as lesser Sith (preferring to use pawns, servants, or proxies), they are the most fearsome of the Sith as they are the keepers of the Sith's greatest secrets and wielders of its most potent sorceries.

Sith Apprentice

Sith apprentices are Sith studying under the tutelage of a Master.

Sith Warrior

These are Sith who focus their energies and skill toward battle, spending little time on actual dark side philosophy or other concerns of the "purer" Sith.

Sith Marauder

Sith Marauders are a variant class of the Sith Warriors, specially trained and exceptionally gifted in melee combat. Sith Marauders are fueled by hatred, rage, and cruelty; the Marauders fill themselves with rage when entering a battle, entering a battle-fury fueled by the dark side. Thus, most Sith Marauders could duel any average Jedi, toe-to-toe, and win easily.

General

General is a high-level military rank, often denoting the commander of an army.

Generals are typically senior officers posted to command ground troops, special operations forces, and starfighter commands. The rank normally doesn't exist among spacefaring navies, where the comparable rank of Admiral is used instead.

Sith Acolyte

Sith Acolytes have only just started down the path of the Dark Side...

Sith Assassin

Specialized Sith minions included Sith Assassins, who preferred to ambush targets from the shadows rather than engaging them in standard combat. Almost always working solo or in small groups, they utilized stealth field generators and the rare art of Force camouflage to launch surprise attacks on their Jedi victims.

Bounty Hunter

Bounty hunters are hireable mercenaries who track down and capture or kill anyone with a price on their head, although they are also known for doing nearly anything for the right price including the protection of clients. The best bounty hunters are very well armed and extremely dangerous. There are, however, plenty of incompetent specimens throughout the Galaxy, lacking any real skill but wishing to get rich quickly or simply seeking adventure.

Bounty hunters usually work alone, although they sometimes form partnerships. Partnering with a bounty hunter could be very dangerous business, though, as they typically value their personal gain—and survival—above that of their companions.

Sith Spy / Sith Inquisitor

These are the shadowy instruments of the Sith Order. They are used to infiltrate the weaknesses of our enemies and gain secret and hidden knowledge.

Sith Cultist / Sith Minion

The rank and file of the Sith Empire. Some worship the Sith as gods, some aren't even force-sensitive.
