(cries) So much writing lately. I'll just start them off.

Lucas took in a deep breath of the cool morning air. The last few days had be quite hecktic for him and his brother. They had been working on unpacking and trying to get their store put together. I wonder where Adrian is right now. he thought to himself as he pulled his favorite green sweater over his head. It felt warm on his pale skin compared to his thin sheets he'd been cursed to use until they found his blankets.
"Adrian! Where the heck are you hiding?!" he joked.

Downstairs you could hear the echo of footsteps, "I'm just setting up the freezers!" His identical brother's voice called up to him. They lived alone in a small ice cream shoppe they discovered on the market when they picked this town.
As Lucas made his way down the creeky stairs he could spot Adrian squatting behind the counter, his raven black hair slightly ruffled.

"Kasha!" Evalie yelled angrily. She had been suddenly awaken by her roomate.
"What?" asked Kasha as she widened her green eyes innocenly while hiding the pink fuzzy pillow behind her.
"Oh don't pretend to be all innocent like. I told you to let me sleep until 8:00! You know how stressed I've been, between school and trying to find a job to help pay for the rent."
"Okay, first of all, it is 8:00. And second of all, I already told you that I can pay for the rent just fine. I mean seriously, you and I both know how rich my parents are."
"Oh, is it really 8:00?" said Evalie feeling completely embarrased and tired, "but I still need to find a job. It doesn't feel right, not paying for half of the rent."
"Fine, whatever," said Kasha, obviously annoyed, while twirling her bleach blonde curls, "I'm gonna take off now. I only have one class today so I'll be back in time to take you to Fresh Freeze for lunch."
"Okay." said Evalie with a sigh and watches as Kasha leaves the room. She gets up, just as she hears Kasha slam the front door closed, and heads over the the full-length mirror. She stands there for a minute looking at the wrinkles she's recieved under her golden brown eyes from stress and a lack of sleep. She soon hears Kasha take off in her red sports car as she continues to scan her body, noticing some of the weight she's gained at the thighs and how frizzy her long black hair is. She finally looks away disgusted at herself for not taking better care of her body and then goes into the bathroom to brush her teeth and put her hair up in a pony tail. Then she hurridly changes her clothes, grabes her purple backpack, stuffs an apple in it for later, and heads out of the house.
When she gets outside, she briskly walks down the street through the icy air until she gets to the stop sign. She stands there for a second, starring at the high school in silence, wishing that she could just go back to her bed and go to sleep under her cotton flowered sheets, wishing that she could just ditch school for one single day. She knew she couldn't do it. She had to go to school and keep her grades up, otherwise she wouldn't be able to get a scholarship for college. A scholarship was the only way she could go to college because, when she was five, her father died in a car accident and her mother had been a drunk ever since, spending the only money she ever earns on alcohol. She knew school was the only option to get a job that pays well, but still she wished she could just have a break from it all...
Evalie was jerked awake from her thoughts, by the sudden honk of a horn. A man starred angrily at her from inside his truck, waiting impatiently for her to cross the street. She crossed quickly while blushing profusly. She jogged up the steps towards the main entrance of the high school, thinking how today will be just like any other day, a day that will seem like it'll never end.

Adrian peeked up from behind the ice cream freezer curiously, "What?" Lucas was simply standing there staring at his brother. It made Adrian feel awkward.
"We have school today. Shouldn't you be getting ready? I mean...Your still in your boxers man." Lucas stuck his hands in his back pockets and walked across the room to the fridge. The breeze from an open window ruffled the calander on the wall. It was a month off. How do you miss that? Lucas opened up their personal fridge and pulled out a water bottle.
Adrian stood up suddenly, "WAIT! What?" he brushed his knees off and stared at Lucas, "School? Crap! What time do we have to be there?"
"In like...ten minutes."
Adrian takes off up the stairs. Lucas chuckles to himself and stuffs his waterbottle into his sidebag before he heads outside and gets into their car.

Adrian pulled into the student parking lot, the dull morning sun getting in Lucas' eyes. "First day Lucas. How you feeling?"
"Fine. I think I can handle another first day Adrian." Lucas shrugged off his seat belt and made his way into the main building. His brother laughed and killed the engine.
It was only 8 o'clock, he just told his brother that they were going to be late because he didn't like showing up with the crowd. Plus, the hallways were almost empty at this time and Lucas enjoyed the quiet in the morning. Adrian trailed behind him at first. "We made it here early. And you had me worried." His brother pushed him. "Jerk."
Lucas just smiled. As they made their way down the hall he heard the front doors open and close. Someone else just got here too.

When Evalie reaches the tall entrance doors to the school, she pulls the cold slightly rusty handle open and walks inside. She notices that there are two students down the hall, both of them older boys. They turn around to see who just entered and immediatly she looks down, blushing from the attention of the twins starring at her.

Spotting the other student Lucas couldn't help but stare. The first person he'd see at this new school, a girl. Her raven black hair falling in her face as she lowers her head.
His brother almost moved in time with him, staring down the other curiously. A playful smile his his face, "Look at that. Let's go say hello." Adrian whispered to his brother with a nudge to the shoulder.
Lucas looked up at his brother, a startled look on his face. "What? No. You just want to flirt. Why do I gotta-?" Adrian cut Lucas off by grabbing him by the arm and forcing him to continue walking with him. From a distance it would only look as though he took his brother by the arm calmly but a tight grip said otherwise to Lucas.
They continued to make their way down the hallway gracefully. "I'm not going to say anything." he glared back at Adrian.
"Excuse me!" Adrian called and stopped the girl. "Hello. I'm Adrian. And this is my brother Lucas." he smiled.

"Um... hi?" said Evalie quietly. She had never been one of the kids that would socialize constantly. Instead she had always been the type who would sit quietly, listen intently, and only respond when absolutely necessary. The only people that ever become friends with her seem to be those determined to get to know her or people like Kasha, who do all the talking. She wonders if these, rather cute, twins are the determined type. With that thought, she turns her attention to the boys, hoping that they'll leave her alone or at least they won't bother her for long.

Adrian leaned in a little, "Quiet one aren't you?"
Luca's elbowed his brother, "Shut it you dork. Your intimidating her." he grumbled.
"I was just wondering if you could tell me where we are to pick up our schedules." Adrian spoke less brightly and more curiously.
Lucas bit at his bottom lip as he watched the girl respond.

Evalie relaxed a little when Lucas told his twin brother, Adrian, to shut-up. She shyly smiled, greatful for what Lucas said, while looking down at her feet. "Um... you can get them in the cafeteria... do you know where that is?" she said nervously, as her palms began to sweat.

Adrian and Lucas both shook their heads almost at the same time.
"No, we don't." Adrian stated.
"Would you mind showing us...um..." Lucas fumbled for words. She haden't given them her name.

"Evalie... my name is Evalie. Um... I guess I could show you." She leads them down towards the end of the hall, feeling their stares on her, just knowing that they have more to say, but hoping that they won't talk.

Adrian smiled at Lucas and gave him a mental thumbs up for getting the girl to tell him her name. You stud you. he thought to himself.
Lucas acted as though he didn't even notice the smile and followed Evalie. Awkward silence seemd to follow them as the made their way to the gym. He wanted to say more but words continued to fail him. Geez Lucas. What's wrong with you? Lucas thought to himself.
Adrian spoke first, "Ah! Alright. Lucas, you can wait here. I'll go get ours." his brother takes off to the student with their papers.
Lucas bit his lip again. Why did Adrian do that? He must have senced something. "O...Okay." he stated. The cafeteria was oddly empty.
"Sorry if we're bother you, Evalie." Lucas ran his hand through his dark hair. "We're kinda new here." he gave her a polite smile.

"Oh... it's okay," Evalie said, even though it wasn't. She needed to go to her locker to get some books and then head to science class to talk about why she got a C on an assignment last quarter, but she decided to stick around for a little while longer. She couldn't help but notice how Lucas seemed to be nervous. She smiled at the thought and asked, "So... where did you move from?"

Lucas shrugged, "New York actually. Adrian wanted to see the redwoods." His blue eyes lost contact with Evalies and were now fixated on his brother who came towards them with a bright smile on his face. But, to Lucas' surprise he didn't stop he just shoved the schedule into Lucas' hand and kept walking. "I've gotta go talk to the counciler Lu! I got woodshop! How'd that happen right?" he called as he turned and left the gym.
Slightly relieved Lucas chucked to himself just picturing his brother attempting to do anything like woodshop. He glanced down at his schedule. "Ehh...." a slight tint of pink touched his cheeks. He hadn't taken the time to get a map yet.
