So I was sitting in college bored as hell when a idea popped in my head. Random trap placement for the area. Simple enough but when I started to figure out the formulas using only dice I realized how hard it would be for a square arena setting and it would be even harder for a not square one. So here is what I have:
You would have to roll the formula twice, once for X and the second time for the Y coordinates.
Side length=formula 5 = 2d3 - 1 6 = 1d6 7 = 2d4 - 1 8 = 1d8 9 = 1d4 + 1d6 - 1 10 = 1d10 11 = 2d6 - 1 12 = 1d12 13 = 4d4 -3 14 = 2d6 + 1d4 - 2 15 = 2d8 - 1 16 = 3d6 - 2 17 = 2d6 + 2d4 - 3 18 = 2d8 + 1d4 - 2 19 = 3d6 + 1d4 - 3 20 = 2d8 + 1d6 - 2 21 = 4d6 - 3 22 = 3d8 - 2 23 = 4d4 + 2d6 - 5 24 = 2d10 + 1d6 - 2 25 = 5d4 + 1d10 - 5 50 = 3d10 + 2d12 - 4 60 = 5d12 + 1d6 -6 75 = 4d10 + 2d20 -5 100 = 9d12 - 8 Im weird and find that figuring out these sort of things is rather fun. Also another note: these formulas will fit perfectly within the length given.

Nah there is already a cure for every disease, America just sucks and doesn't consider natural medicine. Besides, i prefer my anime and 70,000 video games over doing something useful ^_^

sweatdrop "Oops" said the Kender wildmage (the ultimate sin of mankind). ^_^ Ill post more numbers when I have time to figure them out. But i encourage everyone to use this for the arena or any other thing you might wanna use it for. maybe ill write out a formula for good amount of traps and trap percentages per step or something... i figured it out awhile ago but i have to redo it. ^_^
