It was the next morning. Wonderful sun already leaking through the leaves in the trees, playing across her closed eyelids. Nadine purred gently and rubbed up against her partner a little more for warmth. It wasn't that it was necessarily chilly, it was in fact already in the nineties by human standards, but to have that warmth there was wonderful.
Last night, after the official building of Artyum Pride, she had told the others to rest. We would figure things out the next day, and give everyone time to digest the information. Joining a pride, at least to her, was a very big decision to make, and could not be taken into lightly. Nadine purred a little and finally blinked her eyes open. She wouldn't blame them for not showing up at some point during the day, but she hoped they would.
Nadine rolled her eyes a bit and finally sat up. It was before noon, which was early for her, but not unreasonable considering the load on her mind. Stretching her lioness stretch, and yawning a bit, she gave a look out across the water. This place was nice... but not a place a Pride could call home. The watering hole would soon be deserted by animals, knowing that lions inhabited the area. They would have to find someplace else to live. Somewhere with water, and perhaps caves. She thought for a moment of following the river that flowed into the lake.... surely they would come upon something eventually. A stream that cut into it, with perhaps a bit of a mountain face.... the mountains weren't that far away.
Shaking her head, she turned and nudged Ashoka awake. This would be discussed with the pride, but first of all her companion and fellow leader. It was also, not a decision to be stepped into lightly...

 Ash groaned a sleepy reply to the nudge. "Five more minutes..." He trailed off as he fell back into a light sleep. He had been awake, still, well after Nadine had fallen asleep. The thoughts of the pride and their future had been swimming in his mind. Where would they go from here, he wondered. His eyes twitched as the sun penetrated through his loosely closed eyes. He yawned and stretched his front paws out as he slowly opened his eyes all the way.
"Sorry." He said as his smiled faintly at Nadine. "Didn't get much sleep." Ash sat up and looked around, still thinking about a place that would suit them. They needed to find a home. He leaned gently against Nadine instinctively, purring as he did so. "What's the matter?" He said as he looked down at her.

Smiling at his reluctance to get up, Nadine waited patiently. She wasn't in a particular hurry, and it wasn't exactly the right time for Lions to be out and about playing. Most she suspected were still asleep.
" I've been thinking that we're going to have to relocate. Somewhere safe, with water, and game we can hunt. The watering hole is nice, but no pride can set up here, not without running off all the wildlife." Looking up at Ashoka, she seemed a little frightened at the prospect of moving away from the lake. They had thus far been her happiest, and she was reluctant to give that up.
" We're going to have to travel to the mountains i think. Maybe not in them, but certainly to the border. I think it best, so we can track game both in the hills and down in the grasslands here if need be. Find a stream or river that jets off from the river that flows into the watering pond. Maybe some caves..." Nadine began to ramble as she was apt to when ideas began bombarding her. When she was done, she looked up at Ash for approval.

Ash listened intently to everything that Nadine was saying. When she finished he looked into the distance. "The mountains, huh?" He'd never been to them before and wondered what it'd be like to live there. He turned his attention back to Nadine and smiled. "I'm up for it." He beamed. "I'm sure if we fallow the river we're bound to find some place around the mountains." He looked out at the watering lake. He loved the place and would be sad to leave it...but Nadine was right, they couldn't stay here. "Caves would be best. So we have shelter from the weather." He nodded and smiled.

Seeing the same thing in Ash's face that she felt in her heart, she wished they could spend a little more time romping around and playing in the water. But they had responsibilities now. They went out and said they would do this, this pride thing, and they would succeed if it took all her strength to do it.
" I guess we should wait for the others to wake up and meet here like we asked last night. Nothing much else to do right now." Suddenly however, she got a wicked look across her face, pounced him, and took off full speed for the water. Who said they couldn't have an hour or so of fun before the seriousness started?

Ash blinked and only had a second to think before Nadine pounced on him. He chuckled as he rolled over and hopped up and started chasing after Nadine. He laughed as he jumped and landed in the water with a big splash, sending some water raining down onto the shore. As much as he would miss this place, he looked forward to finding a place of their own. They could always visit the watering hole if they ever felt the need to.
He swam up to surface, his head breaking the surface of the water and sending ripples away from him. He looked around for Nadine and smiled as he found her. Noticing that she didn't see where he had come up, yet, he sunk down into the water as low as he could and started to swim slowly towards her.

Sachmet walked into the area she was told to go to and looked around. She saw Nadine and Ash and smiled softly. She looked around at them all. "Hello." She said as she walked in a little more hoping it was ok for her to be there already. She hoped she didn't interrupt anything between the pride heads. "I'm not too early or anything am i?" she asked looking at them both.

Noticing Sachment, but not Ashoka, Nadine paddled toward the lioness and shook her head, dislodging water from her ears as well as making a gesture toward the lion. "No, you're fine. We were just passing some time before the meeting." Paddling around, she didn't see Ash anywhere, giving her goosebump feelings on her skin.

Sachmet smiled a little. "Oh ok. So i'm not early?" she asked. She thought that asking questions might be a good way to keep herself from coming off anyother way then submissive towards her. She looked around and saw Ash in the water but thought he was trying to scare Nadine or something so she kept quiet. "Are there some fish in the water? I'd like some if there are." she asked softly. She wondered how this was going to turn out when Ash scared her.

Ash watched the two lionesses converse. He smiled and winked as Sachmet noticed him. Slowly, he made his way over and crept up to the water's egde, trying to some good footing so he could pounce at Nadine. As he put one of his front paws down it hit a slippery, moss covered rock. He fell face first into the water, making a loud splashing sound and a slight roar as he hit the water. His shoulders slumped and he sighed as he raised his head out of the water. "Well that didn't work." He said as he started laughing at his clumsy self.

Turning quickly at the roar, Nadine all but had a heart attack until she saw the reason for the noise. Giggles replaced her rapid inhaling of breath. Aaah, Ash was too cute. She loved that he made her laugh, even without meaning to. Watching as he got back up, she turned back to the lioness and cocked her head to the side.
" Yes, there's quite a lot of fish in here. I'd say lets have Ashoka here catch the little buggers, but he might trip on them. " Nadine giggled." Here. watch this." Sauntering out toward the water where she knew fish would be she sat very still for a moment. The ones that had startled away slowly crept back, enjoying the bug life that inhabited the edges of the watering hole. Quite suddenly however, the lion heaved a mighty paw and literally swated the large fish out of the water onto the ground feet away.
"And voila! Breakfast." Repeating the act two more times, she was sure to get each of them one. Settling in on hers with delight, she began to purr softly.

Ash huffed at Nadine's laughter and then smiled. He rose out of the water and watched as Nadine headed over and swatted a few fish out. He watched as one flopped closed to him and he brought a large paw down on it to keep it from flopping around more. Laying down he tore a chunk of meat off of the fish and enjoyed the small meal.
He looked over at Sachmet and smiled. "Being early's always good." Ash said as he nodded. "Shows you're serious about whatever you're early for." He grinned as he finished off his fish. He rose up and went to the water's edge and started to lap up some water. "I wonder where everyone else is.." He said aloud as he finished drinking. "Not that they're late or anything...just wondering where they stayed." He said as he shurgged and headed over towards Nadine and sat back on his hind paws.

Sachmet laughed as Ash slipped and ruined his attack and then turned to watch Nadine catch the fish. When they were tossed onto the bank Sachmet grabbed one of the fish and quickly bit into it to kill the flopping thing and smiled. "Thank you." she said with a smile as she lay down with it and began eating it. She finished her fish and listened to Ash as she cleaned her face. "Well i'm not that far from here, well i wasn't, and i just want to belong some where. I don't like being alone, its much better to be with others i think. I like to be around others and its hard to get to know people when your alone. Most of the others i've run into want to fight me cause i wandered into their territory or try to force me into their prides cause i guess i look pretty." she said shrugging as she looked at her paws. "I don't see anything special about my self though." she said. She knew there was something between the two lions she was with and didn't want to come off like she wanted attention, just was hoping that she would come off as not wanting anything special. "I'm just a good hunter when it comes to monkeys and small things." she said hoping she wasn't coming off odd or anything.

Anya loped in followed by Van and Cipher. She kept herding her group onward, chuffing lightly to them. Slowly, she came upon the pride and already spotted the King, his Queen, and another lioness. There was six of the pride members then, interesting.
"Sorry we're late." Her voice rang out soft and gentle padding up to the other three. "I hope we didn't miss anything too important."
Van's frame came in behind Anya. His tail waved behind him slightly, ears flicking slowly. His paws slowly came to a stop behind Anya as he took in the surroundings of his new home. He took in the sights, sounds, and smells.
It seemed this would be his home base for when he searched for his other companions. Hopefully it wouldn't take too long.
Cipher kept her head low slightly in a submissive stance. She was one of the lowest ranks in her past pride. What would come of her here? She kept close to Anya finding a soothing strange in the ligress. It was strange, yet helpful. Her eyes held slight curiosity, ears pricked forward listening carefully.

Cleaning herself up after the fishy breakfast, Nadine noticed the others coming their way and decided it might be time. They were still missing one, but he could be brought up to speed fairly easily.
"Follow me, we'll get out of this sun.." And turning, they went to the tree that they had agreed upon as a meeting spot. Picking a low hanging branch, Nadine jumped up and got comfortable. This may or may not be a long conversation, and she wanted all the comfort she could have.
" Ashoka and i have decided that the watering hole, in all it's gloriousness, can not be our home. We would scare off the other animals that come here to drink, and not to mention the prides that i'm sure migrate here for water that we havn't bumped into yet. " Taking a breath, hardly believing what she was about to say, she looked around, hoping to spot the white lion that was missing before she continued. He was however, nowhere to be found, or just not in eyesight.
"It's been decided that we should follow the river up toward the mountains. Not all the way, so that we can still come to the grasslands as needed, but perhaps far enough to find some caves for shelter. We'll need a water source so we'll follow one of the streams or small rivers that flow into the main river. It's going to be quite a walk, but i think we're all strong enough for it. "
Looking around, Nadine waited for the response and protests that were sure to come. She was still unsure as to how they would take it, but she tried not to let it show.
