I might do that. Do the arena's have specific themes each week or can you do anything. Also... only because I really don't know how to do this but, how do you enter?

they have loose themes during the holidays. doesn't mean you can't enter (or win) with whatever you want.
When voting in the arena, in the top-ish left, there are a bunch of options. You can submit your current avi there.

one thing i've learned though, is that the arena can be harsh. I had an avi I worked on for over 2 months, and put it in the arena, and it go so many 'ew what's that!?' and '1/10' that it almost made me think about quitting gaia =/
Though i've had a few really good ones, where I get in the top 100 too.

Yeah, people can be horrible there. I've already been called a nerd twice. But just realize that many people aren't even paying attention, and it's not so bad. A lot of people are just voting/posting for gold there.
