Artemis Fowl is so perfect for this category because while it is a science fiction series, it also has a little bit of fantasy. I blame the faeries.
Seriously, though, the Artemis Fowl series is quite a good read for anyone who likes magic, technology, and action all mixed in together in just one cool bunch. Anyone here read 'em?

I have, and I must say they are quite good. I like how they incorporate technology, making them more sci-fi than fantasy, but then the faeries pull them back over to my favorite genre (fantasy, of course). I've read all of them, although it was quite a while ago. They're really fast reads though! I actually liked the last one quite a bit. I think that anything with time travel like that is pretty cool.

I like them too, they are so funny, and It's so good idea of Fowles to propagate the gentelman's fashion of live among the younger ones...

Yeah, I finished the series a couple of years ago, but I was really disappointed in the last two books. I think that Eoin Colfer didn't need to create fourth and fifth books because the way the third one ended was already sufficient, but that's just me.

I think that they were unnecessary, really. And some of the characters changed and I didn't like that... However, I DID like the ending of the last book. That was rather interesting. But I swear. If Eoin Colfer decides to write a sixth one, I'll probably launch a nuclear bomb to Ireland scream

They have Artemis Fowl in my local library here (translated into Dutch) and my friend read it and she thinks they were good but whenever I pick up one of those sparkly yellow, red or whatever color they all have and read the summary I just... Put them back... It's a bit weird... >.< can't bring myself to read them...
