That is bad, but I'm not surprised in the slightest. Can you move schools?

We had a similar situation years ago, with one of my daughters schools, and due to her year being a baby boom year, we couldn't get her into anywhere else. That was one of the reasons why we moved 140 miles north. In a lot of respects, I regret moving so far away, but at least my kids go to school in a safe environment now and can shop locally without being confronted by security glass in front of the tills.

If the school give you any problems, just say that your children are all ill with a bug. wink

I would call up your local radio and TV stations, and let them know what is going on. If you're experiencing these issues your not the first, or the last. If you're not comfortable sending them back to school, then don't. And if they get kicked out, even more of a reason to go to the public, the school will be so embarrassed.

They are ignoring your rights as a parent to be concerned and protect your children. heart

Go to the public with it. Don't sit and be silent.

I am sure the school is going to downplay it. As a school board member, I would not want to start a panic in the school. HOWEVER and more IMPORTANTLY, as a parent, it makes me ill to simply imagine what you are going through. I would not be able to breathe if either of my boys were hurt, and if I was the one who sent them back to school, and then something happened..... argh....

Follow your gut. The schools are looking out for their ' daily attendance" money, and trying to keep panic at bay....

It is soooo sad that schools are not a safe place for our children.

Good luck to your entire family.

At least they have had no further incidents, so did you get any feedback from any teachers as to whether the matter had been dealt with at a disciplinary?
It does sound like you have been kept in the dark.
Is there an education board that you can approach? I ask as a friend of mine went through a similar situation, and bulllying was high priority in UK education at the time. Well when her daughter was attacked, the school were very low key about it, and it was only when her daughter was attacked for a 3rd occassion that they started to listen. Anyway, this lass then went to the education board and complained to them of which she attended a hearing. The matter was soon resolved and the kid who was doing the bullying was expelled and the school was repremanded at a higher level. The positive of this, is that the school now has measures to act when bullying occurs, and the matter is dealt with.

If you aren't happy with the way things have been dealt with, then go higher up the ladder wink
Your kids safety is paramount, and if the school can't keep your children safe, then its not a very good school is it?
