Ahhh. Spring Break. What a lovely time of year.
Riley is coming home for the break, hoping to reunite with Mackenzie before the Spring Semester at MIT. With everything that has been going on lately, our captain has totally let it slip her mind!
---
Yeah! Woo hoo! I hope everyone had a great time at the last session. I had a lot of fun putting that all together, and everything went off much better than I could have hoped.
Well, maybe I went a bit over the top with Hyrule castle exploding, but I'll GM hammer everything back to good soon enough. twisted
Anyway, our next session is on Saturday February 16th, at my parent's house again. I expect I'll see you all there, since I basically have everyone's RSVP already. 3nodding
In case anyone has forgotten, we finally get to meet Rocky at our next meeting! In his honor, we're making a dinner of traditional New England food for him to sample during his stay. Here's some of the highlights thus far...
arrow Chourico & Peppers arrow Fall River Style Chicken Chow Mein arrow New England Clam Chowder arrow Boston Baked Beans arrow Maybe a Boston Cream Pie arrow Dunkin' Donuts coffee or donuts perhaps? arrow Sam Adams Lager? What other booze is strictly Bostonian?
If anyone can think of any other great New England dishes we need to serve, please do reply with your thoughts. If anyone wants to help with the cooking, I'm always up for the assistance, especially since this time I'm probably going to have to start a day or two in advance...
As much as I was looking forward to the last session, I'm really very much looking forward to this session too! I hope to see you all there on the 16th! cool

Hmm...food. By then, that'll be all I'm thinking about. Food. My only meal from the time I get on the plane til touchdown at Prov will be my breakfast and Joce has informed me we will not be going by to get a burger (for a dollar) on the way, so I'll have my app handy.
Brent, I need to get with you about who, what, and where I'm supposed to do and how.

Oooh, Harpoon is local brewery that makes EXCELLENT Heiferweissen (which may or may not be spelled right)! I'll chip in for that when we go out to pick up supplies! I think Smuttynose is another local brewery, but I could be wrong on that, and I haven't tried any of their stuff yet, anyway...
I can offer my help on any cooking you need done, too smile I promise I won't fall asleep this time and leave you to do all the work by yourself!

I don't keep you around to do my cooking, Dear ;P You can do whatever you want when you're with me, including sleep. 3nodding
I think I'm going to stick with the game plan above as far as food goes. I think starting fairly soon I'm going to have to cut back on these huge meals for everyone though. It's not a terrible strain on my wallet now, but when we move out, it might become one, so I'd rather kick the habit now.

No, you shouldn't feel obligated to cook for all of us smile I know I'm always satisfied just by seeing everyone, and the food is just a perk of that smile I can help chip in, too, if need be! And besides, good food doesn't need to be expensive smile

Hmmm, Perhaps after dinner? What? no hentai night after dinner with JR? Damn, and I had my hopes up. Oh well, riding with Dan and Adam don't sound bad. It'll give me a chance to see what a city looks like. Where asphalt and concrete replace grass and trees from down here razz

Lowellius I would not call the city of Fall River... well... a city... You should see the village of Swainsboro. I had to take Joce and Pedro to Augusta before they would actually say they've been to a "city" in Georgia. They even turned their noses up to Dublin and I thought IT was a city.

Boston is a city, and Providence is like a tiny city. Fall River doesn't have a building over 3 stories in height. It does have sidewalks, though I don't really recommend walking around.
If you get the opportunity to go to Boston, I would take it. Its a beautiful city, and one that must be walked through to truly appreciate.

Not so. Cardinal Medeiros tower, 13 stories, Point Gloria, 15, and the other two in the flint that I can't remember the names of, both 11 stories.
We do, however, have the world's crappiest mall.

We do, however, have the world's crappiest mall. I live in a town with no mall and the largest building is a whopping 5 stories, that was once a hotel, now the county government's office. If you go outside of town, you'll find a few old plantation homes that are 3 - 4 stories above finished grade (can't say for basements). We have sidewalks til about 10pm when they roll them up for the night (slight joke there). Mostly the tallest thing you'll find here is the fall corn crop and pecan trees (slight exageration...we have plenty of Georgia Pines around)

Fall River IS a city, dearest. We have over 100,000 people crammed in a 7x11 mile space. Regardless of how you look at it, Fall River is a city, albeit a small one. You haven't been to Swainsboro - I have. The most grass you see around here is at the park, mostly brown or white right now.
No, we aren't like Boston, which is a major city. He has been to Atlanta, so honestly Boston won't really impress him as much as you may think. But it is fun to go there, especially since Ally's there!
