A couple days ago, I thought I'd try my hand at drawing chibis. I tried various different styles, and out of all the various ones I did, I found one to be really cute (I drew it after my Valentine's Day avi)
Here is the original drawing (I get really bored in American Military History and Canadian History xd ):
And after I got home and scanned it and all that, I decided that I should try my hand at coloring it in using an editing program that I'd recently snagged. It's not fantastic (mostly because it's done entirely by mouse and not by a tablet and pen) but here she is:

I'm personally more fond of the drawing. It has the textured feel to it.

I like the texture to teh drawing, but it gets really really washed out. It look way better IRL. For example, you can barely tell that the tiara is colored in the scan, but it's fairly bright when I look at it.

 Since we were doing drawings, might as well draw my own Valentine's avi ^^ Yay no rose and only color in the eyes! Yay for laziness!

thank ya, I think yours is super cute, too. I like the way that just the eyes are colored, it really makes them pop out.

Yeah I hate when scanners do that.
I have this really great picture of Haruhi when she plays God Knows but it doesn't come out very well when I scan it. :[

I'm not really sure how to solve the scanner issue, short of going out and getting professional art sets (but those are expensive, and I am a poor college student). I'm going to try to improve my digital work as well, I just haven't had much time to do more than just doodles in class when I'm bored.

Right now I have this really neat drawing I made and it's being done on Photoshop. Which will be the first time for me using Photoshop.
Just bought it a week ago, just flipping pages around in the manual.

I've always like that one, heh.
I can't even afford Photoshop stressed
I've got a couple free-ware programs I've been using when I need to do any editing. I can't wait to see your drawing, though. I love seeing computer-generated art, it's really neat.
