I just want some advice. It also has to do with me being too damn shy, and I care alot about what other's think of me.
I've been wanting to buy one but I'm too nervous... (thinking about buying a zoo magazine) I know how I can just walk up to the counter and pay for it. I just can't do it.
I've thought about it. - It's a waste of money - Maybe I'm not ready/mature enough to but it
But I really want to know what's so great about it I want to know the pleasure from reading it.
and: Is there an age limit you have to be to buy one?
I'm an Australian, if that changes the age limit.
Thanks

Which... also brings me to another thing. I stated it in the above post, but. I just want to stop worrying about other peoples opinions of me. I don't want to worry, it drags me down.
But when I worry, I take more notice of what I do. I don't want people to label me. If they do, they'll treat me the way it suits the label. eg. emo, preppy... whatsoever.
When I want to be myself. I get labeled as a dyke. Even though it was half true at the time but know one knew. I'm pretty sure know one did. Which leads me to another thing.
Trust- I hate it how I trust so easily. My trust is probably leading me to my insanity. Everyone's just going to keep backstabbing. I was depressed in years 8, 9 and 10.
Now, I fear people. You could say I have social anxiety. I hate going to social things and being with lot's of people. I'd rather be alone. I'm not so sure I know what this lonely feeling is. I know how to entertain myself and I'd just rather be alone. I can hardly stick up for myself.
I left school and thought I could finally be comfortable with being me. But, now I'm going to college/TAFE and there's still so many people. Everywhere I go, it's going to be the same.
Sorry, i just got carried away in my thoughts

Well, for what it's worth, if you search you can probably find an internet site or two hundred that'll cater to any taste. Assuming you have access to an unblocked computer of course... It's more private and leaves no more incriminating evidence than a magazine lying around does...
Anyway, if you are really bothered by it, but want the magazine anyway, try to find a copy for sale at a store you never usually go to, then, as Shakespear put it, "screw up your courage to the sticking place", and go for it. If you can find it in a place that caters to that sort of thing normally (sex shop or similar idea) the staff won't even blink, and heck, they may even be able to recommend other stuff...
Finally, if you can stand the exposure, can you beg a friend???
Hope this helps a bit... biggrin

As said above you can a lot of that stuff online. The magazines are not that great in my opinion. If you are just interested in seeing people having sex then surf around. Pretty much most of them are just woman showing off their crotch or having sex in many strange ways. Very impersonal and rather degrading to women.
As for the anti social thing. I suffer from the same and deal with a lot of it by chatting online and the like. You should try to not worry about what others think of you because no matter what you do they will come up with their own opinion. Just be content with being yourself and if people have a problem with who you are then they are not worth your time. I've been called a dyke since I was in elementary school and now wear the label proudly. If you let things effect you it will only make you more paranoid.
Well I wish you all the luck.

Thank you, really. sorry I haven't been on in a long time. I think it was today, when I went to TAFE. I sat in the chair half an hour before the lesson started and tried to build up my confidence. I told myself I was going to walk to the canteen with confidence. It kinda worked. I gave myself stupid reasons about they looked at me. It worked.
My friend is helping me get over some of the stuff.
Thankyou

Just be yourseld [easier said then done I know] and it is hard, even for me, but your in college now and it's time for you to express yourself and if people can't except that than they don't deserve to be around you.
As for the dirty magazine, just go for it! Your not going to ease your curosity any other way. Just walk in the store alone with a big smile on your face, grab yourself a magazine, give to the clerk and give them a wink! Just have fun and be yourself, then the anxiety you have will just fade away

I'm australian too and there no age limit for any magazine unless they have an actual rating saying R18t or whatever, and they dont have one for zoo magazine because heaps of my friends buy it and i just read there copies. If your too shy to buy one it doesnt mean your not mature enough to read it, it just means your self concious and thats normal like 80% of people are. So just get one of your other friends to buy it or subscribe to it and then you dont have to go into a shop and buy it at all it just gets delivered to your house. But if your parents dont approve of those magazines have it delivered to a friends house or a PO box so you can pick it up. I hope that helps!
