I've been friends with a boy for about six or seven months now. I'm 14 and he's 16. We've been talking to each other over the Internet and nothing else. For the past week, we've conversed a lot. All of this is through e-mail. I guess I was starting to get comfortable with him. He already knows a lot about my life and the people in it, and I know about his. I would actually talk with him about the guys I like -- which I think is pretty awkward for a straight guy. But he said he didn't mind. Well, this week, he asked me if I told my parents about him cuz he wanted to know what they thought of him. I kind of sent a reply that I guess REALLY implied that I liked him. It says that he has been on, but he hasn't replied to me at all. I'm confused. Did I just make a very bad mistake??

Sweetie, he may need some time to think things over, but if he's not giving you the time of day it isn't worth it. I mean if he's not going to give you the chance to explain yourself, how can you clear things up? He's just being a brat right now, maybe sometime in the future he'll decide not to, either that or maybe you're always catching him when he's at dinner or breakfast or something.

You were right. I do catch him a lot when he is at dinner or breakfast and I have nothing to do. We live in two different time zones so that's understandable. We just recently started talking again. I think I overreacted. THANK YOU! whee heart
