A forum I was in a few years ago had a thread like this, I thought it was really interesting whee Some of us have really creative and interesting usernames, and I often wonder how they were chosen! What made you choose yours?

ummm well I really dont have a story behind my user name I used to be Purple Rose Bratt everywhere then i thought of Sweet Lady Rose LOL i love roses soooooooo LOL but despite the fact that i love roses Chrysanthemums are my favorite flower
now my Mule Anime Junkie 1968 heheh thats cause i love Anime ... im an Anime Junkie and i was born in 1968 LOL

I didn't put mine in because I get kinda long winded xd
I chose mine halfway jokingly... xd . One time (can't remember how) the topic came up of what your name would be if you were a movie star. My first name is long, and my last name is reaaaaally long and foreign, so I jokingly made up a different, shorter version of it that people could pronounce if I became famous. rofl xd So I put together the first and last "movie star" names, and I had "Veranuem". I was 13 and it didn't make a whole lotta sense, but it kinda stuck... rolleyes

Back in sophomore year high school I was making my first role-playing character. This had to be around 1996ish. I loved that character, and I used it as my handle online. Well, the character has long since retired and my tastes have changed in the types I play. But, the name has stuck. Since, I use the same handle, still have the same email, and all that jazz. The con is anyone with half a brain can google me and get pretty much all my info. Thus I am shocked I've never been hacked. So.. no.. my name has NOTHING to do with the cat warriors series. People on here ask me that ALL THE TIME.

Dikia was the name of one of the first roleplay characters I created when I started roleplaying on neopets years ago.
It's short and sweet, so I picked it as my username for here.
Oh, and it's pronounced Da Ki(rhymes with pie) ah

well my name use to be Maiden of Tales, I love writing and reading so at the time it made sense for it to be that... but then... I realized it was long... and so since I am Irish... and I like Princesses its Irish Princess.

"Azure" i have a picture of her in my profile (side note - if youve only played the new games, it isnt that mia though they are quite simalar)

The first variation of my username was on my Flickr account when I made an album called My Submission to the Narcissistic E-Trend. This album only contained photographs of me. So really this is about the me-me complex on the internet. smile
Apparently, though, there is a blog with this--if not a similar--name. I don't know who came first.

well I have been through many user names when I joined Gaia I went looking for a new one and found it in my cat's name. When I first started online I went by Roni then someone told me I should put tender in front of it so I went by Tender Roni for a while but that seemed a bit long at the time so I shortened it to TRoni I also went my Pollyanne for a while but that didn't stick either. So, back to the story of this name.
I always said if I ever got a cat I would name it Pyewacket, and I did, but then I got a second cat, his sister, and went looking for a name for her. I looked up the name pyewacket on google and came across this old newspaper article about a witch and her many familiers one of them happened to be Pyewacket so I decided to take another name from the same story for his sister and thus got Grizzel Greedygut.
