January 1st, 2008: Osaka, Japan:

There was once a beautiful castle in the moist and green forests of Japan. A very rich and powerful family (known as the Moriku Family) once lived there, although they were not royal. Many people came in and out of the castle on business and to help out around the castle. Suddenly, on a dark, snowy, day; the screams of frightened people echoed through the icy forest. No one knew what had happened, but everyone the government sent to find the missing people who never returned from the castle, never returned as well. After sending numerous groups of search parties, the government eventually gave up, forgot about the castle and moved on. Over the years, however, some people had not forgotten about the mysterious castle and went in search of it to do research for books and articles in magazines. Of course, the people who went in search of the castle either found it and never returned, or they could not find it at all and gave up. The only survivor who had gone into the castle and came out, alive, but badly injured, was too horrified to say anything, except that the last thing they heard was the laugh of a woman that echoed throughout the forest...

Plot:
A group of teenagers are planning on trying to find Moriku castle to do research on it for school or work, or maybe just out of curiosity. Little do they know the risk of going into the castle where Ghosts begin to prove their existence. Other people who enter the castle are either doing the same thing or get lost in the forest and end up there in the castle. The only problem with entering the castle is once you enter...there is no exit.

RULES!!!

PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU POST!!!

1- BE REALISTIC!!! (This includes no random entrances, no straying from the story, no being all powerful, etc.)

2- Only ghosts can have certain powers (no fireblasts or anything like that).

3- Whoever wants to TEMPORARILY play a ghost (because they will die off unless they are a more powerful ghost) please PM Kyumika. WE WILL NEED GHOSTS TO FIGHT OFF AND KILL IN THE ROLE PLAY. So most temorary ghosts will die off except for the five Ghosts I have listed below that will not die without the owner's permission. Once Kaede (the most powerful of the ghosts) dies off. Then the role play will end.

4- If you create a character please keep posting as long as possible. If you want to leave the RP, please tell me and make a realistic exit in the RP. Don't leave everyone hanging.

5- If you are going to be gone for a certain amount of time, please tell me before you leave, and find a way for your character to not do anything without it leaving a huge gap in the story.

6- If you must talk normally, put 2 parentheses around what you say. ((Like this)).

7- TALK IN THIRD PERSON, PAST TENSE ONLY!

8- BE LITERATE!

9- NO SLANG!

10- Make sure your posts make sense! Read the other posts so you know what's going on so you don't say something that doesn't make sense or is completely opposite of what somebody else posted.

11- Let people react to your posts. Don't take control of other people, such as saying that you killed somebody or describing their actions.

12- Don't kill any other characters without their permission.

13- NOT EVERYONE CAN BE GHOSTS!!! WE NEED HUMANS TOO!!!

Ghosts!

These are the five needed Ghosts! They are the most powerful Ghosts in the role play! They are in order from most powerful to least powerful! GHOSTS WILL NOT ATTACK EACH OTHER UNLESS IT'S GOOD VS. EVIL!

Also, what do the humans have to defend themselves? Well there are the occasional exorcists (but not everyone can be one) and then there are SOME medical people (hardly any, it'll be more fun for the ghost characters if the humans get a little bit injured...or some killed >D). Also, there is a special camera called the Camera Obscura (from the game Fatal Frame which, when someone takes a picture of a ghost, perfoms an exorcism on the ghost. However, there is only ONE CAMERA OBSCURA that the characters find in the castle and SHARE with each other.

One more thing...all the evil ghosts kind of work for Kaede. They will defend her and obey her. She is kind of like their master because she is very powerful and they fear her so they want to be in her favor.

The Camera Obscura

Kaede and other ghosts are going to drop the "Camera Obscura" (from Fatal Frame) for characters to find. However characters may have to share itright now because there will only be one Camera Obscura (for now, I'll add more later). What does it do? Well when you take a picture of a ghost, it will perform an exorcism on them. However, you will have to take a picture of each ghost more than once before it dies. Unless it is a weak spirit (not really a ghost) then it can die the first time it gets a picture taken. However it could also be a picture of something (like an object) and come up later when you develope the film to give you clues on how to get out of the castle (however the clues will all take some time to solve, so they won't be easy or obvious). Most of the characters should coincidentally run into each other soon so they can travel through the castle together (this will get you all involved too).

Name: Kaede Moriku
Good/Evil: EVIL!!! (The most powerful of the Ghosts)
Age: Looks to be 18 years old.
History: Kaede was the youngest daughter of the castle that once stood in the forest. She eventually fell in love with a young man who worked as a chef in the castle. They planned to get married but when they asked the head of the house (Kaede's father) if they could be married, he became very angry saying that Kaede could never marry a poor chef. They were not suited for each other. Kaede and the young man ignored her father and married each other anyway with the help of Kaede's older sister, Ameretat, whom she was very close with. Kaede's father soon found out and eventually had Kaede's lover killed. When Kaede found out, she was devastated and killed herself. Instead of ascending into the heavens, her spirit, in a rage, slaughtered each and every person in the castle, including her family. The only survivor was Ameretat who helped Kaede and eventually killed herself to be with her older sister.

Good/Bad: EVIL!!! (The second most powerful of the Ghosts)
Age: Seems to be 19 years old
Occupation: Older sister of Kaede
History: She fell in love with her best friend, and ran away from home only to be stalked and nearly killed by the man she was arranged to marry. Her best friend, Torrin, thought she was dead and ended up killing himself, so that he could be with her. Soon after, her younger sister, Kaede, fell in love with a young chef who worked in the castle where she lived. Their father, would not let them be married, so Kaede came to Ameretat who then married them. After Kaede's lover was murdered by their father, Kaede commited suicide and started killing every living being in the castle. Ameretat, still upset about the death of Torrin and Kaede, killed the man to whom she was betrothed in revenge. In an uncontrollable rage, she then aided her younger sister's ghost in killing every living soul within or without the castle. Then, racked with remorse for her crimes and wanting to be with her sister and her true love, she killed herself, and joined Kaede and Torrin in everlasting torture.

Name: Lei Moriku
Good/Bad: Good (the third strongest of the three Ghosts)
Age: Looks about 16
History: The adopted daughter of the family. The mother's best friend was Lei's mother, who died in childbirth. Being kind, unlike her husband, she took in the infant, who grew to love her adopted family. Only a few weeks before the horrible events within the family, Lei was sent to a boarding school. After a while, she decided that she hated it so much she decided to leave. She ran away in the middle of the night. She was only a little while away when she reached the forest separating her from home. But due to the darkness, in the center of the forest she tripped and stuck her head against a rock. She bled out and died. Instead of going to heaven, she stayed behind and returned home, since it was her strongest desire. She is the weakest of her adopted sisters, since she is youngest among them, and is afraid to involve herself in their killings. She...after-lives in fear of them of what they would do to her if they were to find her.

Occupation: She heard the news on the mansion and decided to check it out, She became very curious and had to see for her self...even if it meant her death.
History: She recently moved to the town near by, she lives with her mother in an old appartment, she has a pet crow and calls him Nimios.
Personality: She has a demonic personality, she loves gory things and things that would make normal people scream with fear.

History:Kyuoko was originally keeper of her mothers farm.She one day went out to the woods in search of a lost calf,but was killed by a wandering wolf amoung the wood.

Hoping to get a big bouns for finding the story, Gina took the information to her boss. He liked the information, but it wasn't enough, he sent Gina down there to get more information.

Deaths/Missing Reports


Report 1:

Twin girls, around the age of 12, were playing ouside in a small village near the city of Osaka, Japan. The girl's names were Amelia, the older twin, and Alice, the younger twin. One rainy day Alice, went out into the forest to pick some flowers for her sick mother. Amelia stayed behind to help care for their mother and waited eagerly for Alice's return who never came back. Amelia, very concerned about her twin sister, went out into the forest alone to search for Alice who also never returned. Their mother became very concerned and reported them missing, police went out to search for the missing girls two days later. After traveling deep into the forest they found a huge, abandoned, castle that was covered in vines and weeds that no one knew about. The party entered the castle and a few hours later, found the bloody bodies of the twin girls sprawled across the ground. Horrified, the party tried escaping the castle however only one man was able to get out of the castle, alive, but badly injured. The police tried asking the man questions but the horrified man quickly died of blood loss, leaving the police confused. They soon just forgot about the incident and moved on.

We will be restarting the role play form the follwing lines. Recently, a young human girl names Rei as well as some other girls entered in into the Moriku Castle much to Kaede's displeasure. Kaede just met her sister, Ameritat, again after many years of being separated and is about to try and kill Rei who has just found the Camera Obscura.

Kaede disappeared and showed up in front of the girl. "I'm not letting you escape that easily." She stated, giving an evil glare.

Rei gave a little squeek from the sudden appearance of the ghost 'Kaede' she rolled her eyes and walked past her. "I am not going anywhere, I am only hungry, I missed dinner" she explained, she didn't really want to leave, even if one of the eavy old doors mysteriously opened up and gave her the exit to the rest of her life.
