Here's a nifty little thread to discuss thing's related to the super cool J-Rock band The GazettE.
And because i'm soo lazy to actually type out the biography on my own. I'll just quote it from Miseinen~A Gazette Fansite. x_x
Biography
"Now known as 'the GazettE', ガゼット [Gazette ~ pronounced Gazetto] formed early in the year 2002 on the visual indies label 'Matina'. There were five members back then, as there are now, but there was one big difference:

On 30th April 2002, Gazette released their first single Wakaremichi and continued releasing a number of amazing songs, including Doro darake no seishun and Juunana sai, throughout the year. However, on 21st January 2003 Yune sadly announced he was leaving the band, despite his amazing talent as a drummer and the band's growing success. Fortunately it didn't take Gazette long to find a replacement and Kai joined as their new drummer on 1st February 2003 ~
On 1st March 2003, exactly one month after Kai had joined the band, Gazette signed up to PS Company: the record label of Miyavi, Kagrra,, bis, Alice nine, Kra, SuG, SCREW, Devil christ 13 and Hanamuke [who were also part of PS Company then] ~ all some of my favourite bands ^0^. On 6th May 2003, Gazette performed live with Hanamuke and together they released Dan Jiri Tour Final Haifu, a cd that they gave to their fans for free during their live [aren't they nice ~ <3] The cd had two songs on it: a re-recording of Hanamuke's song Yuubinya san and a re-recording of Gazette's song Machibouke no kouen de.... During the year Gazette also performed alongside Deadman and Vidoll as well as appearing with Vidoll on the front cover of the music magazine Cure. On 28th December 2003, Gazette [together with Merry, D'espairsRay, Gullet, Miyavi, Deadman, Daigo Stardust, MUCC, Kra and Pink halleluja] performed in the Beauti-fools Fest '03, a huge event organised by the music magazine 'Fool's Mate'.
On 16th January 2004 Gazette performed their first one-man live which was recorded and released as the dvd Judgement day on 28th April 2004. As well as the release of their dvd, their official fanclub [which I think is called dai-nippon-itan-gyousha...myaaa, it's such a long name >w>;;] opened *whines* I wanna join >w<
Their mini album Madara was released on 30th March 2004 and reached number 2 on the Oricon indies charts [wooooh!!]. Then, during September and October 2004, Gazette toured with Kra and bis for the 'Tribal Arivall tour'. Afterwards, on the 13th October 2004, they released their first ever full length album Disorder which appeared at number 5 on the Oricon charts [uber-yayness!!].
In 2006 Gazette decided to change their name to 'the GazettE' in order to create a more appealing logo for the band. They played their first concerts outside of Asia at AnimeCon 2006 in Bonn, Germany...and are hopefully coming back to Europe very soon [*coughpleasevisitLondoncough* XDDD]
Whether or not they're major or indies is a battle still yet to be won [unless I'm behind and it's been won?] but it's overly evident that over the years their fanbase has become far more widespread and they're becoming more and more successful in everything they do ~ ganbatte Gazette and keep up the amazing music that never ceases to whisk us away into Gaze~heaven ^w^"
