Blood and Chocolate was an amazing book! Annette Curtis Klause, the author of Blood and Chocolate, has also written The Silver Kiss.

The Silver Kiss was also an amazing book, but I liked Blood and Chocolate more.

Here's the review from Amazon:

Blood and Chocolate chronicles the longings and passions of one Vivian Gandillon, teenage werewolf. Her pack family, recently burned out of their West Virginia home by suspicious neighbors, has resettled in a sleepy Maryland suburb. At her new school, Viv quickly falls for sensitive heartthrob Aiden, a human--or "meat-boy," as her pack calls him. Soon she is trying to tame her undomesticated desires to match his more civilized sensibilities. "He was gentle. She hadn't expected that. Kisses to her were a tight clutch, teeth, and tongue... His eyes were shy beneath his dark lashes, and his lips curved with delight and desire--desire he wouldn't force on her... he was different." But Vivian's animal ardor cannot be stilled, and she must decide if she should keep Aiden in the dark about her true nature or invite him to take a walk on her wild side.

This book had a bit of a surprising ending for me. Well, not exactly surprising, but in the beginning, I would never had guessed what would happen. Does that make sense?

Yes it does. And I've heard of it because of the recent movie. I was actually going to get it last time I was at the bookstore, but I decided to get something else instead.

I completely missed hearing about a movie for this. It's even out on DVD already? Wow. eek

I liked the book, but mostly as a brain-candy read. I remember it being fairly predictable. I think I read it at the wrong time in my life - the 'stuck between two worlds' plot is really best for teenagers who are feeling the same thing, and I wasn't feeling that then.

I never thought of it that way, but I know what you mean!

To me, the ending was dumb. And I watched the movie before the book on accident, and the movie confused me, and the two were nothing alike... horrible. I liked the book though. =D

I've never seen the movie before, so I wouldn't know...

I wanted to see the movie, but I often put off seeing movies until I've read the book so......It hasn't happened yet.

I THOUGHT THE MOVIE WAS HORRIBLE! The book was ten times better than the movie, but then I guess it was because I read the book first.

It's not that the movie was bad, it just wasn't anywhere near the plot of Blood and Chocolate. Plus, the running scenes got old real quick. xD

yeah, the movie was good as far as movies go, but the only real tie to the book was the characters, and even those were a bit flimsy... The book is way better, and way more interesting. Also, I don't know why everybody doesn't seem to like the ending... I just thought that it was sad, but then again, I read the book a couple of years ago, so my memory isn't that fresh.

I loved this book, but I liked the movie better. Both are very creative.
