Rules:
1. Abide by For the Strength of Youth standards.

2. No God-moding.
3. Max of three abilities unless otherwise specified.
4. Romance is ok, but remember FtSoY
5. If you are to be a main character, and thus an exception to rule #3, you must have a Seal of Approval

Story
A Door of Legend that leads to other worlds.
Powered by the Twilight, lost with the ages.
As chaos reigns in one world, its power spreads.
The Door is awoken.
The magicks long dormant have risen up to bring Chaos down again.
All have the power, but there needs be the Will to make it work.
Do you have the Will and Power?

Races:
Human - The general population of the planet earth, their eyes are plain so they have trouble seeing pure magick and magickal creatures without aid.
Hume - Humans who have been endowed with Magick Power, unlike normal humans, they can see pure magick without the aid of spectral optics.
Fairy-kind - Magickal creatures that have great longevity, but remain as children all their lives. They are a peace loving race with a tendency to have an affinity for the light, and have a congenital fear of the dark.
Vampire - Magickal creatures of the night, have the appearance of fair-skinned humans except that their eyes are inverted, black eyes with white pupils and irises. They havea tendency to have an affinity for the dark and tho they can withstand the light prefer to avoid it. They make good spies.
Were-Beast - Demi Humans, part human, part animal. These are humans that have been infused with excessive amounts of chaos energy, permanently deforming them. The most common result is seen in the Werewolf, tho any were-beast combination is possible.
Elven - A fair-skinned race of magical creatures, they possess great speed and are very adroit. This allows them to be exellant archers and marksmen. They are a very artistic people and with their quick and accurate hands can fashion the most delicate things in half the time of any other race. They havea tendency to have an affinity for the wind and can be found in forests most of the time.
Draconian - These are beings with two souls, the souls of a Hume infused with one of a Dragon. As dragons don't exist on any planets in our dimension, these are the only dragon-beings you'll find on Earth. The stand upright, are slightly taller than humans, and look like lizard men(Never call them lizards tho, it's a dire insult.) They are a powerful, proud, and intellectual people with a tendency to have an affinity for fire.
Lambar - Shadow beings, and the closest things to demon you get get and still have a soul. These creatures have no true body, just a living shadow containing their soul. Walking silhouettes, they can blend in with other shadows completely. They can possess inanimate objects through their shadows and have the ability to communicate with the dead. They have a tendency to have an affinity for darkness and can only withstand direct sunlight for an hour or so.
Dwarves - A diminuative race of hairy magickal creatures. Excessivley strong foor their size, they are a race of master blacksmiths. Extremely proud, boastful, and prone to drinking, they are a raucous race. They have a tendency to have an affinity for earth and live in a dwarf made underworld.

Fighter Classes:
Warrior - Generic fighter class, well rounded, can use almost any weapon.
--H, Hu, V, Wb, E, Dr, Dw, L
Mercenary - A more ruthless fighter class, only loyal to whoever is paying at the moment. Clever and quick on their feat they make good spies.
--H, Hu, V, Wb, L
Thief - Quick-footed fighters who keep their monetary interests as a top priority. Can open all locks, chests, and doors not sealed by magic.
--H, V, Wb, L
Assassin - Elite fighter class that is the best at concealment and black ops. Their loyalties lie with the most powerful.
--H, V, Wb, E, Dr, L
Archer/Gunner - Masters of projectile weapons, they can use their long range skills to scout, maim, or kill.
--H, Fy,V, E, Dr
Ranger - Mounted archers with some skill in the art of the sword.
--H, E, Dr
Berserker - Powerful warriors that lose themselves in the battle, whatever gets in their way goes down. Can use heavy weaponry and withstand excessive amounts of damage while berserk.
--Wb, Dr, Dw
Alchemist - The Scientist class, these are fighters who have mixed the arts of science and magick to create a whole new level of warfare and medicine. They can either specialize in Potions/Pharmacology or Bombs/Incendiaries. (Fairy-kind can only specialize in Potions/Pharmacology, Dwarves can only specialize in Bombs/Incendiaries)
--Hu, Fy, Dr, Dw
White Mage - Magicians that focus on mainly defensive spells through the medium of light. The specialize in light play. Only those with an affinity for light can become White Mages.
--Hu, Fy, E, Dr
Black Mage - Magicians that focus on offensive spells through other elements, usually focusing in on the element the have an affinity for. They avoid shadow play as it can lead to a chaos infection.
--Hu, V, E, Dr, L
Grey Mage - A mage who has spread his abilities over both offensive and defensive spells. It is a balanced magick class, but because they spread their skills out over various elements, their power is weakened.
--Hu, E, Dr
Summoner - Elite mage class with the power to summon and control the spirits of legendary beasts and warriors. While their ablilities are formidable, the summoner becomes completely vulnerable while summoning.
--Fy, E, Dr
Guardian - Fighter trained specifically for the purpose of defending summoners. They are trained to do whatever it takes to protect the summoner, even if it costs them their life. Humans can become guardians, only with the help of spectral optics, so they can see pure magick.
--H, Hu, V, E, Dr
Druid - Unique to the Were-beasts, the druid class has the ability to create and control golems and other anima. Due to their infusion with chaos energy, the druid can shapeshift completely into their animal and gain any magickal properties alotted to that beast. Druids have to have an affinity for earth, water, or darkness.
--Wb
Beastmaster - A unique class with the ability to communicate with and control animals and magickal creatures. They use instruments to manipulate them, and have the natural ability to speak any animal tongue.
--Fy, Dr, Dw
Mimic - Another unique fighter class specific to Fairy-kind. Mimics are capable of imitating any action perfectly. Unfortunately, they don't retain the mimicked abilities in their muscle memories so they can only use abilities others are using at the same moment. As a result, mimics tend to have rather poor memories.
--Fy
Shaman - A class unique to the Lambar. Because they are composed of pure shadow, they are immune to chaos and it's effects. This allows them to use shadow play to its full extent. With the full range of shadow play at their fingertips, they can perform superior acts of necromancy and golem/anima magic.
--L
Engineer - This class has the ability of weaponcraft. They are the developers of technology for humans to see and use magic. they specialize in spectral optics, technology to facilitate in seeing manifestations magickal energy, and spectral weaponry, devices infused with magick that allow for the arftificial use of magick.
--H
Machinist - The class of the Dwarves. They specialize in airship building, advanced weaponsmithing, transportation, and mineral manipulation. Dwarves have the minds of engineers and are always sought out for construction of any kind. They have an innate sense of which minerals, metals, or other materials have the best quality and use for a job. Their unique eyes can see into a substance to judge it's quality.

Gilgamesh - This class is not strictly available to Humes alone. It's just that the other races that can attain it, Elven and Draconian, find the idea repulsive. The process of becoming a Gilgamesh involves infusing a weapon, namely a sword, with a part of ones soul. With this intimate connection a warrior can then use the weapon as an extra limb. The highest any Hume has dared to go with this art is its namesake, Svalrock Gilgamesh, who infused his soul into six blades. The process is extremely dangerous and if interupted can rip a person's soul in twain. Likewise if any of the weapons that have been infused are destroyed, the part of the soul in the weapon likewise is destroyed.

Abilities: PICK A MAX OF THREE ABILITIES UNLESS YOU ARE A MAIN CHARACTER
Light Play - The ability to manipulate, focus, or bend light. Light can be used for healing, defense by illusion or focusing light into a wall, or attacking by focussing it into a laser or light sword.

Dark Play - The ability to manipulate and call forth shadows and the dead. Pollutes the soul and can lead to a chaos infection.

Fire Play - The ability to manipulate and create fire and magma. Fire embodies physical strength and can be used to temporarily boost it.

Water Play - The ability to manipulate and bend water and ice. Water embodies mental strength and can be used to temporarily boost it.

Air Play - The ability to manipulate and move air, control weather, and call down lightning. Air constitutes mental defense and can be used to temporarily boost it.

Earth Play - The ability to manipulate and raise earth, and control plant life. Earth constitutes physical defense and can be used to temporarily boost it.

Shapeshifting - The ability to change form and appearance at will

Tracking - The ability to find something through hunting methods, scents, tracks, other clues.

Sharpshooting - The ability to pinpoint a target and hit it dead on.

Focus - The ability to call forth magickal energies into you to increase the power of the next spell cast.

Teleport - The ability to travel instantaneously to another place by means of interdimensional travel (wormhole)

Bio: Vincent loved astronomy. Living in an isolated farm town, you could go as far as say it was an obsession. He knew everything, and had even predicted correctly some unofficial lunar eclipses in the past three years. His observations led him to believe that on New Years Eve precisley at midnight there would be an eclipse, or so he thought. As he snuck out of the party with his telescope he gasped at the sight that was magnified by the various fireworks going off at adjacent farm houses. The moon wasn't eclipsed, but brilliantly magnified by a mysterious symbol displayed on it's face. As he beheld what seemed like a dream, he heard a voice:
"Vincent of Terra, you have been chosen.
You shall chronicle the events that follow.
Let not one jot pass you by,
for in eons to come your name shall be praised for preserving the truth.
The Door and Tome of Twilight are in alignment.
Light shall mix with Shade.
You will help restore the King who will rule the Twilight.
Now awaken the magicks long sealed in your soul,
and prepare for the long Journey ahead."

And with that Vincent felt something grow inside him that he'd always knew was there but never realized it. Magick had returned to his planet.

Ablilties: (constant abilities) Shadow Play, Psychic Healing, Hellfire Bombardment, Soul Plane,
Bio: Originally a preserver of Souls after leaving the mortal plane, Sero was a kind being, merciful and patient, but in a visit into the world of Terra before the door was shut, he fell in love with a beautiful woman, and she with him, sadly because he was only able to communicate with Souls preparing to cast aside their mortal shells, she passed soon after, and it was Sero's duty to carry her into the next Plane.
Upon reaching judgment, Nokalrye responsible for judging her cast her into the abyss for falling in love with Sero, which was deemed "Dangerous for one of 'them' to fall in love with a deity, as it might cause an unholy creation" and it was Sero's duty to transfer her into the abyss himself.
So to keep the demons at bay, and to provide her comfort, he shattered his soul, and left his pure, merciful, kind self in the abyss, and what was left, Dasero, loathing the One who decided, began to stay in Arkolia once the door shut, "judging" anyone whom would have made it to Paradise and casting them to the abyss instead.

i doubt anyone is gonna want to join this........ it's been so long since anyone's responded, wonder if keeper's ever gonna shut it down........ if anyone finds it interesting let him know or he'll close it down (if you can read my mind tell him how to improve it if that's the problem)

Vincent was in his room, practicing with the new found abilities he had gained from his close encounter of the fourth kind. A deity had spoken with him! And now he could use magick!

He focused on the lamp across the room. If he concentrated just right, he could siphon light from the lamp and bend it to his will. He was practing this when he was suddenly gripped by a vision...

Come ye unsealed,
Ye Terrans come and fight.
The shadows do rebel....


Another vision... he'd been having those as of late and they all seemed to be calling him somewhere. He felt he should go North, but being in Florida, that could be anywhere!
