It's a good idea, and a valiant effort, but ultimately it goes against Anonymous. Setting up a group which has direct leadership to spread the word of Chanology has many faults. The first fault I can see is that Anonymous has no leaders, what-so-ever. That's what makes Anonymous strong. Without leaders, people dont have anyone to point to. Heck, no one even knows who's IN Anonymous, making it much harder to call it anything other than an object. Also, even if people were to step up, I doubt that self-proclaimed leaders would be followed for much time. Rather, people pay attention to others that take action, but dont follow them as a leader. They follow in example.
Another problem I can see is that with a 'Parliament', actions would have to be discussed, voted on, and go through the system before any action is taken, which is very unlike Anonymous. So far, other communities, without a head council, have already set up things for the Feb. 10th raids. Instead of just going, people are bringing supplies, and people know who's bringing what, even in the anonymity. There are set times, there are meetings, and there are ideas to bring up, but there's no Parliamentary or leadership. There are just other Anonymouses to bounce ideas off of.
The largest problem I can see with starting a Parliament here is the size of the guild. To be honest, it's quite small. Only 150~ strong. While that's a large number, consider this: Just the #socal channel of the Partyvan IRC has already had 250 people RSVP to say that they're going to the protests. We could set up a station here to get the word around the world, but it would be small. Rather, we keep what we've got, which is a nuclear fallout of sorts, as well as a small secure forum of communication, and join other communities to discuss influence spreading. Granted, we can do that all here, but if you're looking for global-scale stuff, there's things like that already underway.
The idea is a good one, and I'm not going to say that you cant do it, but I want to show you what problems you're likely to run into, and to offer a different route that can achieve the same results. Here on Gaia, we can spread the word across Gaia. In real life, we can spread the word through posters. Online, you can get into chatrooms with other people in your county to talk about meet-ups and strategies.
Best of wishes. Take my advice into consideration, but take it as advice. Nothing more.

I think that a governing body to help spread word around Gaia is in need.
Government type situations are essentially localized here on Gaia, and is affiliated with Anonymous, but has no direct correlation. Indeed, we're more like a posse than anything.
Plus, I cannot be a part of Anonymous, for I am very well known in the Internet communities, and it would be pointless for me to be anonymous. Saying that, like Wise Beard Man, I stand against the injustice in name (literally), although I won't mention my real name here.
As long as it is local, and it aides in Anonymous' final plan, then I will not disagree nor dissuade this idea, nor will I sidestep an issue that regards the Co$, but I also do not want to be leader.

Same here. I'm a namefag. I'm well known, and rarely do I ever don the identity of Anon. But I've been a backbone for nearly 5 years. I don't know what kinda services I can really offer, but I'll try and do my part. So, anything I can help with?

Honestly, I hate government, and politics, but I am still willing to help out in any way that doesn't involve getting into that lol. Plus, I'm lazy, and easily convinced of many things. I don't think I'd follow those rules very well!

I think this is far to organized for our purposes. Anonymous, in and of itself, is an entity which promotes chaos behind a faceless shield. Plus, it'll make it much easier for would-be OT3's to have a look see at our plans.

voyager454 How is it to organized for us? We have organized world-wide protests! I think he means having a set-in-stone style of leadership. Something like a government that can be targeted, blamed, and have held responsible for any and all actions of Anonymous. Instead of having each Anon responsible for them selves, though generally the actions of many represent all. You know what I mean.

This is honestly like getting down on our hands and knees and begging the Co$ to brutally ******** us.
It could be a good diversion from our real activities, though.
