hey now dmc 4 has been released worldwide i wondered what everyones thoughts on it were.

well im very pleased with it Nero wasnt as bad as i expected, shame that Dante wasnt playable for most of the game

im not cool with a few things though but eh the game was great so im not that bothered

My only real complaints about the game are how short it is and the lack of weapon options; I cleared the first two difficulties in well under 20 hours, even with some goofing off and repeating levels, and I find myself never needing to switch from Rebellion unless faced with a Blitz, in which case Lucifer becomes a necessity. Still, it's really fun and ultimately that's all I ask for.

So far, so good. I didn't lay the Human difficulty and went straight for the Demon Hunter...right now I'm on mission 11, and I hate it..the mission I mean.

The lack of being able to play as Dante right now really irks me, but I love the game overall. Nero's pretty awesome; the graphis and music rock, and the fighting style is great. My only complaint is the lack of weapon variety.

To be honest, I was actually quite bored on my first run through, because I just wanted to get to play as Dante. Now I've done the first two difficulties, I'm enjoying it more. I'm going for S ranks in all my missions, which is surprisingly easy for Nero, what with Snatch and Blue Rose at Charge 3 (the two just dominate a battle, using Blue Rose's charge attack gives you some great style points and works well as a finisher)
I'm around halfway through with Son of Sparda mode, and have A Ranks and S Ranks for everything :3

I'm looking forward to DMD mode, because then it's a real challenge... I'm frankly quite scared about Hell or Hell mode though, lol razz (an updated version of Heaven or Hell mode, but now you die in one hit, while you can only even damage enemie's while you have a SSS style rank, or so I hear)

It was alright.

I was a bit disappointed it didn’t keep to some of my favorite traditions (jackpot, devils never cry, etc) and I was a bit disappointed with the new female character in the game, but other then that I think it’s quite a fun play. (And have a theory that Nero was only included so we can appreciate Dante more, but that’s my opinion. We need more Vergil, he makes a better jerk.)

And, it was a bit too easy, though at least it wasn't made easier by the DMC3 Dante styles.

I haven't beaten it yet, but so far I'm just getting more and more disappointed. Not jsut gameplay wise, but the game itself.
First off, the excessive Cutscenes! There were about 5 cutnscens in almost every mission! Dmc 1 only had maybe one cutscene like, every 5 missions!

The lack of usefulness of the gun... God...

And was it just me or did anyone else notice that everyone in the game was a demon? Nero's a demon, Dantes a demon, that fat scientist guy is a demon, Credo is a demon, the priests are demons, even the head priest was a demon! Hell, the only person that wasn't a demon was that Kirely girl or however you spell her name.

well I'm playing dante must die (super hard)
mode
I bought the collectors edition and I am very pleased with it
once you get most of the skills nero becomes very usefull
especially with max-act skil for red queen
and charge shot 3 for blue rose
I actually prefer nero over dante (unless I'm using darkslayer with dante then it's a hard choice)
so overall it was a really good game

I liked it. One of the best.
Nero is bad a**,man. His Devil Bringer is so damn usefull.
And of course Dante's Bad assness has increased 10 fold.

I'm trying not to think too much about it, as being offline, without a PS3 and living in Germany I don't know so many facts about the game and Vergils appearance there. I'll wait untill some friend ends playing it and resumes the story... and I'm so hoping they didn't mess up Vergils role. stressed
