Have you had many encounters with The Metaphysical, do you perhaps have a strong connection with something outside "Normal human" reality? Would you be willing to share?
I personally, although mostly second hand, had a connection with Dragons and, somewhat, the Fae. I would like to hear more about it from those who might have more experience and deeper connections with it.
I will share my first real, recognized, experience with a Faerie though.
I was flying to Columbus Ohio reading a book, "The Secret" by Rhonda Burns(SP?), and felt a presence sitting on my knee. I describe it as a pressure, a slight heat. Well I looked at what I thought was the center of it and directed my thoughts to it saying, "Hello." I was happy to hear the same return.
To make a long story short it was a brownie, no doubt returning to Cleveland, they have a football team named after them there, and we sat through the trip reading.
It was a fun experience.

I've been touched by my great aunt's spirit at she was passing. She had a long, drug out end, and we had grown close during that time. She wasn't the kindest of my aunt's, but I had be her husband's favorite and we spent time talking about him. When she died, all I remember was knowing it, saying goodbye, and waking up on my floor. I got up and got the lights turned on, and started settling back down, and then my mom got the call that she was gone.

Given that my friends and I sometimes go LOOKING for metaphysical things to talk to/torment, I've had a few experiences. The oddest one was one night when I'd come home to get some clothes then return to a friend's house. Just before I flicked on the light in my room, I thought I saw something curled up in the dark on my bed. I turned on the light, thinking it might have been a pillow or a blanket, but there was nothing in that spot. I spent the next minute or so flicking the light off and on. My mom finally put a stop to that. *sheepish grin* It wasn't as big as a child, but bigger than I thought a fairy or sprite would be. Definitely female. I finally asked her simply to leave, and when I turned the light on again, she was gone. I still don't know who/what she is, why she was there, or what she wanted.

I'm given the guidance. You know sometimes I woke up with the special plan of a day, and than something happens - ussuallny the seria of things and I just know I wouldn't do what I had planned... Once I cancelled the visit into my fellows camping house - and really it was good for me... And my grandma still sees her husband...

I have a few experiences, the most recent is in my journal, but only my friends can read it, lol. I have seen one of my best friend's grandmother in her bathroom mirror several times though, and my cousin and I have a spirit that comes through our Oujia board. I don't touch that thing anymore though, simply because my cousin doesn't take it seriously.

[~Althena~] I have a few experiences, the most recent is in my journal, but only my friends can read it, lol. I don't touch that thing anymore though, simply because my cousin doesn't take it seriously. I HATE Oujia boards. When I was a kid I didn't take it seriously, and now that I know what it can do, I won't touch it. Even with any shields and such I would put around it, I never know who's going to answer. And there's always the possibility that something bigger and badder than me is going to walk through a shield like it's not even there. Of course, I found my little sister and her friend playing with one not that long ago and had to get rid of... whatever it was they brought into the room. And chewed her up one side and down the other. >.<

Right You are Ryu, I've got some unpleasant memories connected with summoning the ghosts, and never ever I'll try it again. Better to leacethem where they are I think they are not to happy when we interrupt their rest...

I'm a little guilty of stirring up graveyards... and only sometimes on purpose. sweatdrop But at least I'm smart enough to not call them into my HOUSE. My ex managed to summon a demon of some kind as a child. There's a mark to this day. It's kinda scary.

*feels out of place*
I'm so typical and mainstream. I watch that stuff on T.V... never experienced it myself.

^ is a wise, wise woman. 3nodding Usually it's more of a bad experience than a good... but without a proper teacher and me wanting to learn more, I figured that if I threw myself into those kinds of things I would either sink or swim. So far, so good.
Ps. My method is NOT advised.

I suppose there are some benefits to being a rather vanilla individual.

Turquoise Pop I suppose there are some benefits to being a rather vanilla individual. I love 'vanilla' people. They are the most fun to 'corrupt'. By that, I do mean expose to 'out-there' ideas and concepts. I have a recent one. Ever have one of those days when you know you are going to be called, and who is going to be the caller, before it happens? And I mean, every call that day.

What means "vanilla people"? I like vanilla too but I don't suppose it's about taste of a spice?

Inepta What means "vanilla people"? I like vanilla too but I don't suppose it's about taste of a spice? 'Vanilla' typically means 'normal'.
