Personality
Bel is definitely what you'd call crazy. He might look adorable but there is nothing that this young drow likes more than burning things alive, dead or part way in between. He finds the most gruesome creatures adorable and the most horrific acts are usually seen as funny or sweet. He does have a much cuter side to him that is much more fitting in with his looks, he likes people companny and does at least tend to ask before he sets things on fire for fun, and has a fair amount of respect for his superiors, currently Arach, Illiam and Prau G'eld. Once he stumbles on fun he can become a little obsessed with it, stalking and singeing the family drider is more fun for him that for most people it seems. All in all he is crazy with a side of cute, but as long as you don't let him get too carried away he's fairly harmless, unless you want him to harm things, then his fairly powerful fire magic is actually rather deadly.

Likes
Burning things, melting things, smelting things, singing things, playing with fire, watching things burn, spending time with Prau, harassing the Drider, petting Prau's minions, helping Arach work, looking around, squashing mushrooms and chasing salamanders.
Favourite Colour - Red or Gold.

Dislikes
water in large quantities, bright lights, the surface, his family trying to sacrifice him, thought of going home at all, being shouted at, Ariadne when she's in a bad mood, the drider keeping him awake all night, Shi'n keeping him awake all night when the drider doesn't.

Sexuality
Un-worried. He's in love <3

Taken [Prau G'eld :: Kara]

Closest Friend
Prau G'eld

Biography
(Basically the story I wrote for the FS where I won him <3 )

Belyrr Zau’und, a rather strange young Drow, originally haling from the south-dark, but now serving in the house of G’eld as a rather strange assistant and liability to the family’s weapons master.
Bel decided at about the age of eighty, that despite their oddly fiery and hot home the incessant fireballs he was in the habit of making whenever he was angry, sleepy, bored or just plain beset with the sneezes were beginning to drive his mother to thoughts of sacrifice. Now, he really rather liked his skin where it was, and less than crispy, crispy was definitely a better look on your enemies rather then yourself.

His mother had lived pretty well in a state of moderate indifference to him for the larger part of his life, upon popping out, so to speak, he had promptly torched the midwife, and from that moment on his career had been decided, Elemental Mage, with a specialisation in the fiery side of things. After this though he was of very little interest to her, she had a number of older, more interesting sons, and three daughters, so he could pretty much live on unnoticed, until he started finding his powers more and more fun, and the furnishings in their lovely home more and more flammable, it was at this point that he decided it best to take a sudden interest in travel. He’d never been out of the south dark, and so paces such as the west and east were of great interest to him, the Glimmer sea was always an option as well, so, on a whim, and rather suddenly he decided to leave his home and making quick his departure, soon found himself drifting around from place to place.

Now, the Underdark isn’t really the most trusting of place to be, and so he found it relatively hard to find many comfortable quarters to inhabit, but his natural gift bought him heat and light I abundance, and were finally what made him interesting to Ariadne G’eld. She and a number of her followers found him milling around not far from their home, and upon demanding to know what he was about, and witnessing one of her people scorched quite badly with almost sticky, tacky seeming flame, she became rather interested in the youth. Now, he wasn’t from the West, that was clear by his very southern clothing, and thus he was definitely not to be even remotely trusted. Not a jot.. an ounce, no, not even a sausage.

Thus it was that he came into the care of her sons, Arach especially was put upon to watch over him and make sure he cause them no trouble, Prau as well, Illiam, well, she would have made him help but he usually had such petty fits over these kind of things that there really didn’t seem any point, two of her sons were quite enough, why hassle herself with talking to the third, he was usually too occupied with tormenting the combat instructor anyway to be of much use to her materially… she’d have to think about keeping a sterner eye on that soft touch anyhow…

Bel was pretty content with where his lot in life had taken him, working with Arach was a fairly destructive, metal working violent sort of fun that gave him lots of chances to use his powers, melting things, smelting things, burning things, making magical fires, occasionally even scorching smiley faces into Arach’s armour when he wasn’t looking. The fights were great as well, he wondered sometimes how he kept himself from laughing as he watched his opponents’ skin blacken and crisp… oh it was so much fun!

He’d never have chosen another line of work even if it had been possible, you didn’t go against your mother, that was suicide no matter what part of the Underdark you came form, daughters, well, they might honestly have a little more leeway to work with, not a whole lot, but a little at least, but for a son, well, anything short of blind obedience would usually end up with you sizzling, bleeding, drowning, or other wise dieing as a gift to the wondrous goddess for all your efforts. It was lucky really then that he was more than content with his lot in life.

Friends and Enemies

Friends:

Prau G'eld
The Drow he probably spends the most time with and gets along the best with, Prau has a very fond place in Bel's heart <3 He is very fond of him, and also, very much likes to kiss him.

Arach G'eld
His boss for the most part, Bel helps Arach out when heat is required for his inventions. He thinks he's pretty good fun.

Enemies:

Eclave'eth
The drider, Bel spends more time than he probably should tormenting the creature. It keeps him awake though... so there's a fair basis for that.

Journal One.

I wrote home today! Telling my family, if they'll care to read a little about where I am now! Living in the west dark! I doubt they even think I'm alive any more, but oh well! I just thought it might be a fairly good idea... probably not in hindsight as it might annoy mother that I'm helping a rival clan, but then again... anything's better than having my person boiled in larva.

Things have been rather quiet here recently, I've not had that much in the way of work to do, but its been okay, I'm nicely settled into this household now, and I think they're beginning to get a little more used to me... though I do still get a lot of funny looks from people, never mind though! I'm sure it will be okay in the long run!

There are lots of people in this house... three actual children by quite a lot of wards, like me... one called Shi'n seems a little funny in the head, even by my standards, but well see...

Journal Two.

I got lost today... really really really really lost! I seemed to be wandering in the tunnels forever and a day! It was only by trailing after a lost riding lizard that I finally found my way back out... all because I took one wrong turn, fell down a hole and nearly got squished by a boulder... I think this place is almost as dangerous as the east dark... oh well! I'm sure I'll get used to it! Shi'n told me about his friend today, I don't think I really asked about him, but once he stated talking he just wouldn't shut up again... Shi'n seems nice enough... just.. maybe a little too enthusiastic? He really likes cows...

His friend was called Kalan, and apparently Shi'n stole his shirt.. or half of it, or something... I don't know. I've not met Kalan and apparently he's not from the G'eld family, so I don't think its very likely that I ever will, but that doesn't really matter to me that much... He seems calmer than Shi'n, though apparently he had some rather weird 'pictures' in his room, Shi'n cackled a lot while he was telling me about them.. so I'm not sure I even want to know actually... I'm sure he'd tell me more if I asked.. must remember not to...

Journal Three

They have a Drider! This bizzare and utterly interesting family actually keep a drider! Who in their right mind does that? Its a big beastie this one as well! All red and black! I nearly fainted when I saw it earlier! Shi'n told me his name is Eclav'eth, or something like that.. I don't really know for sure, but... so unusual! Why would they have one? What use can it possibly be! I would ask Shi'n but he's not around at the moment, and I don't really feel that comfortable talking to anyone else about it just yet... so we'll have to see how that one goes... finding out I mean..

I'm going to have to check the ceiling really carefully before I sleep tonight.. I have a horrible feeling that the drider likes to sleep on them.. oh dear.. I don't mind them, I mean.. they're not as harmful as some things are.. but you really do hear some horror stories... and they're all flitting through my mind right now...

Journal Four

I talked to Shi'n about the Drider today! He told me that used to have a giant snake instead! How insane is that?! He used to eat anyone that Matron Ariadne sent down to feed him! Apparently he was a cross between a Drow and a Naga! Unsettling... but it still sounds pretty interesting... I'd have liked to see it.... They Drider doesn't do so well by them apparently, but Shi'n had brought a cow down from the surface with him.. at least I think he called it a cow... we cooked it.. with fire.. pretty lovely sparky fire.. it sizzled.. I love what heat does to things.. its so pretty... I burned up some of the old bones as well.. that was wonderful..

Shi'n took some of the meat to the drider and we ate some of it ourselves.. it was actually pretty good... I'll have to see if he'll bring me some down again one day.. he showed me a purple thing he brought down as well, a veil? Maybe.. before he left he said he wanted to show it to Kalon.. poor Kalon.. I wonder what he did to deserve Shi'n as a 'friend...'

Journal Five

I met Arach today, he's the one I'm meant to be working with, the weapons master here. He's amazing! He can make anything into anything else! Its so impressive! His sword axe is a marvel! It can kill with both sides at the same time if you swing it right! It was fascinating! I had to show him what I could do, which was okay actually as I really do like my firey magic, so I didn't mind, and I think he thought some of it could be useful! But I did nearly set him alight twice.. which... wasn't so good... but oh well! He was very good at putting himself out!

The Drider has been causing me trouble recently though.. he keeps clicking in my room and not really letting me sleep.. its.. difficult.. I've been here a few months now... and its been quite a while since I had a really good sleep... I'm pretty tired.. I hope he leaves me alone tonight...

Journal Six

I actually spent some time with Prau last night... I know I've not really mentioned him before.. I should have.. he's lovely.. but that didn't seem a very appropriate thing to write down about.. he's very sweet when he's not killing.. very kind and he's so nice to hug... but...he sometimes looks so very sad and lonely, it makes me want to cuddle him... I did last night! He found me all sleepy and staggering and let me curl up with him... I told you he was lovely, didn't I?

I hope I get to spend some more time with him again soon! He's such a nice guy, Prau is! And I really like it when he smiles! His smile is so genuin and happy and... okay.. actually just going to stop there now as this is beginning to sound a bit like an obsessive entry... I'll.... write again later...

Journal Seven

So the last entry... it was a little over the top I think... but I really do seem to have taken a really strong liking to spending time in Praus' companny. He's so nice to me.. its.. I don't mean to say that everyone here treats me badly, Arach is nice as well, Illiam doesn't like me at all and I don't think Ariadne really knows why she let me stay.. but Prau definately treats me better than all of the other's put together... I wish there was something more I could do for him.. but as it stands I usually make more of a pest out of myself than a help I think. Oh well...

I will try harder though! I will find something I can do.. one way or another I will get stronger, better at my magic so I can try to find some way to help him.. he's fascinating... he's a necromancer... and he lets me play with his summonings. I like it.. they burn really well. They crackle and go crispy.. then they crumple to dust and he summons them again for me. I like him. He lets me burn things as often as I want.

Journal Eight.

I think I might have to return home soon... and I'm not sure how much I like that idea. I've gotten very used to being here at the G'eld house... and I actually like it very much. I have friends here, which I never had at home.. my mother's insanity never helped that one along very much. Though I apparently set fire to a friend of her's when I was born... which didn't help her mind much either. Oh well.

I can honestly say the main reason I don't really want to leave is Prau... I know he'll probably never see me as anything but his brother's assistant... but I'm really very fond of him. Very fond indeed... I like his companny so much, and I always feel so happy when I see him, especially when he smiles at me.. it can make you feel as if you're the only person alive he cares for at that moment... its simply wonderful.

But sadly... I do believe I will have to obey my aunt's wishes. She is the leader of my house you see, my real matron... and Miss Ariadne will certainly not push me to stay. I had hoped Arach might... but I do not think so.. there are only so many weapons you can find it fun to attach fire to before you start looking for more mages... oh well..

If I do have to leave.. maybe I'll be able to return some day..?

Journal Nine

I do wish I'd never written home that first time. They would never have know where to summon me from if I haddn't. But I shouldn't be bitter. I should be thankful for the time I had away from my home.. and hopeful that the time I will now spend there will not end my life prematurely as it almost did before. I really don't want to die a burned sacrifice to the spider queen.. for while I revear her, I should very dearly like to keep my life as my own for just a little longer... Oh but it seems like such a long time I am to be away...

And I am not even to be allowed to say a fond farewell.

I told my friends, few as they are, that would be leaving soon, and have said goodbye to Prau as best I can.. though I wished so strongly to wake him as I was escorted out to the mounts in the wee hours of the night time cycle.

Sadly I was denied..

We needed to be away..

And so we rode.. and we rode.. oh it has been an eternity! Days and Days in the saddle... soon though we'll be home. Soon...

Then I can carry on my training.. when I return I will impress him. I will..

As long as there is still a chance I will try.
