Picking her way along the semi-frozen mud and water the grey mare snorted in disgust. Her poor hooves were a mess due to some areas failing to be frozen. So when stepped on, her hooves sunk right in, either getting muddy or wet. Why she even bothered coming up here she could not remember. It was wet, cold, and disgusting, and she wanted to leave. Now. But leave she could not. Aine had wanted to explore this place since she was little and explore it she would. Even if it froze her to death.

"I am definitely washing off after I leave this freezing cold place." The blue winged mare said after making it to a dry grassy area. She pawed at the ground with her hooves hoping to rid some of the wet mud off of them. After a few moments of pawing at the ground, she looked around at this new area and sighed. It seemed there was not a single soul in sight.

"Well I came up here for nothing. There's no one here, nothing to see, and I'm freezing!" Aine yelled to herself thinking that no one would hear it, seeing as there appeared to be no one about. Sighing she pawed at the ground some more to continue getting the slowly freezing mud of her hoofs and coat, before it froze completely which would make it impossible to come off.

"Remind me never to come this way again, Betel," the old mare snorted with a perpetual glare straight ahead, as she plodded carefully and slowly across the lands of Yisi. She hissed as a heavy hoof shot through the thin layer of ice and into the cold muddy water beneath. "Never! I don't know why even came so far in the first place, I can hardly wait to get back to the valley."

The Speaker was not pleased.

"Yes, Mistress, of course," he offered helpfully, although his high-pitched voice only served to irritate her further.

"And you!" She snarled suddenly, whipping her head to the side to glare where his voice was emanating from. "You are the one with the eyes, here! Why didn't you tell me where I was headed?!"

"I... I thought you knew.."

"And how the hell would I know, Betel? Please, please, I'd LOVE to know that!" She spat, glaring straight ahead again. However, a small voice yelling how freezing its owner was floated over from not too far away, and the mare snorted.

3...

2...

1.

"Mistress!"

Bingo.

"Mistress, there's a Bae over there! A mare, I think; can we please go over and say hello?"

She ignored him, glaring, unknowing that she was heading straight for the Bae she was attempting to avoid.

Aine heard something in the distance. It seemed like someone talking. Ears twitching she listened for the direction of the voice. Once locating the direction she turned herself so she could see better. Spotting the Aeri the blue winged bae couldn't help but stare. 'Was she talking to herself?'

"Hello there!" she called out hoping to catch her attention. Hopefully she looked presentable and not a mess not knowing the other was blind. The mare worried over such petty things but looks couldn't hurt.

Betel, quite pleased that his Mistress was heading for the Bae -- indeed, he thought she had aquiesced and was headed towards the mare purposefully -- resigned himself to silence, grinning to himself. The living were so much fun to watch and listen to, they were usually so vibrant and full of life. Compared to the dead, at least.

The old mare snorted, flicking her ears backwards to rest against her skull. Betel was being abnormally quiet, and that was rather... strange. With an annoyed snort, the Speaker lengthened her slow strides to get more swiftly to... wherever the hell she was going. Well, she knew where she wanted to go, but she didn't know where she was actually headed. It was just when she noticed this fact that a voice chimed in -- fairly, and unfortunately, nearby -- and the large mare stopped with an annoyed look on her face as she stomped a hoof into a puddle, causing droplets of water to splash up and fling themselves onto various things, including her legs. Great. Just great.

The elder mare sighed and glared, flicking an ear irritatedly. She probably wouldn't be able to pretend as if she hadn't heard the Bae, either, but that didn't mean she had to go towards her. So, with another snort, Bella simply stopped and waited there. Doubtless, the Bae would come closer if she was curious enough, but the Aeri would not go looking for companionship.

Aine saw the mare walk towards her but then all of a sudden stop and not say anything. Well that was kind of odd. The mare thought quickly what she could have done wrong. Was there mud all over her and she didn't realize it? Or had she improperly called out to the other wrong? She worried a few moments before she decided to walk over to the other and find out what was wrong.

The blue winged mare walked slowly over to the other unsure of how to greet the other. She still failed to notice that the mare was blind. When she was within a couple feet of the mare she paused in her walk and lowered her head. "Uhh hi? I hope I wasn't being rude by calling out to you a few moments ago. I also apologize if I am all covered in mud. I hadn't realized how muddy it was up here." Her voice was quiet and apologetic hoping to make right whatever wrong she had done. She still failed to notice the mare was blind even at this distance.

Great. Juuust great. The little Bae had come closer, that much she could hear from her footsteps. Pinning her ears back, the elder mare glared off into space. Rude, tch. To her, damn near everyone was rude. "Whatever," she snorted, turning her head to the side to look like she was actually looking at something. Which, of course, was impossible for her.

"Mud?" She mused, flicking one ear as she turned her muzzle down, lifting a hoof. Indeed, now that she paid attention to it, she could feel the mud pulling at her hooves and sticking to her legs. "I hadn't noticed there was mud. I'm probably all covered in it too, not that I care." And she didn't care, honestly; she couldn't see it, so why bother caring? She'd only care once it dried and caked to her legs and hindered her movement. Then she'd care, and go find a stream or small river to wash it off in.

"She's such a cute Bae, Mistress," Betel chimed in, floating to her left side. "May we stay in her company, Mistress Bella?"

"No," she said bluntly, glaring to her left at the annoying spirit.

"But Mistress!" Piped his voice from... the right. Damn. "Please? May we?"

"I said no, Betel," she snapped, glaring off to the side now, completely forgetting the smaller Nequus for the moment.
