Baku sat inside an abandoned tea shop, his cloak on as well as with his straw hat. He was sipping some of the old tea the shop had from a sipping bowl. It had been a while since he had been out in the world. The last major thing he had remembered doing was confronting Orochimaru. That old Sannin was one of the major threats to Akatsuki, despite him being old and decrepit. Of course, news of more Sannin springing up across countries was alarming as well. It would not be like old days where he could roam freely and do as he pleased. Now there was too many obstacles. He tried to remember who was left. There was Haku; Kujira; Etsuko; Junko. That was it. The rest were dead. Even their esteemed leader Seiko had fallen to his former comrades. He did not even manage to capture the Kyuubi. Baku had fulfilled his quota, two Jinchuuriki. Hagane Hedoro, his old partner from Taki, and Tasubi, the Rokubi from Ame. Haku became very angry at him for that, but she was angry a lot of the time anyway. He chuckled slightly at the recollection of those who said they would end his life. And yet, they were dead, and he was not.

Hands slid over Baku's shoulders as he would feel something n** at his neck. "Poor brooding Baku, reminiscing are you?" Came a girlish chuckle.
Baku snarled slightly. "Should you not be with the new leader?"
"I have not been able to find him, silly. He's more secretive than Seiko was."
Baku sighed. "Irritating woman. Go bother some one else."
"But you are so fun to play with...." She whined playfully. "You're just like that Haku girl, but you are different."
Baku nipped her hand as it had gotten close to his jaws. "I do not desire your company."
She gasped slightly at the warm feeling of blood dripping from her hand. "But Baku... I desire your company." She gently rubbed her hand against his cheek, smearing a bit of her blood across it.
"Darla... Do not test me. I have no desire to play with you, nor would I ever."
"Then I will remain here with you until you wish to play." She said stubbornly.
"Do as you wish...."

Etsuko appeared next, a chilly mist cooling off the tea shop before he entered. "Ah, Darla...and Baku," he said as he entered, removing his hat as he did so. "It is very different, seeing you out and about, Darla, and here with Baku of all people." he entered and sat down opposite them.

Baku scowled at Etsuko. "Are you implying anything, Frosty?" He asked with bitterness in his voice.
Darla giggled. "Well, Baku is so fun to play with, Etsuko."
Baku nearly lost it. "Why do you not go ******** the leader? That is all you are here for."

Darla dismissed him and clung to Baku. "He isn't all that cold, AND he has a thirst for blood. Right, Baku-Ai?"
"I am not your ai." He said while trying to suppress a snarl.
