That's right. Yet another guild member has decided to post her poetry. However, since she's a Nervous Nelly when it comes to people stealing work, you probably won't be seeing her favorite stuff up here. x_X
Most of my work is non-rhyming, though I'll try to put some of my rhyming pieces up, too, if this place becomes frequented enough. I'll start with three pieces - One rhyming and two not.
The first one you can just call "Summer Love" (haven't named it). I was bored one day and pointlessly wrapped a foil gum wrapper around one of my fingers, making a ring, and this poem for some reason occured to me out of it. There's really no point to it, except maybe on the temporary nature of "summer flings."
Summer Love
Are we in love yet, baby?
It feels like summer love to me.
We’re both shining so pretty
With our silver gum-wrapper rings.
Our paper hats and painted clothes
Look just as real and inexpensive.
For daylight dreaming, I suppose,
The full price would be too extensive.
The second is simply called "Ring," after the character of mine it was inspired off of. I never really used her for anything, but I probably should....
Ring
It was as the child stood on the shoreline,
Skipping on polished rocks,
That her foot slipped.
She skittered forward, nearly falling,
Catching herself and chuckling,
And looked out to sea.
It was there, with the waves washing,
Making more stepping stones,
That she realized.
No one judged her. No one caught her.
No one laughed at or with her:
She was free and alone.
Last, but not least, is the classic I always love to post for people who are fans of poetry and Gaia. You've probably all seen people out there who personify it.

Thank you very much. I like to post "HOMG" online because most people can get a good laugh out of it. ^-^ That was the intention, after all.
Looking through my poetry, I've noticed that I really, really need to work on making more rhyming ones. Most of my favorite finished pieces are non-rhyming.
