Trystan didn't remember ever being this mad, especially not over something as silly as a stone and some coin he hadn't even known he had. To be very truthful he hadn't been very mad at first, he had been upset of course, but it was more about the fact that he had lost sight of the pirate girl. But that all changed once he had gotten back to the Treehut and thought about what had happened. She had STOLEN from him, something that was rightfully his and she had no right to take.
So in his fury, he had gotten up and taken off toward the Roger, or where he had figured it would be. He wouldn't go right up to the Roger, that in itself was just stupid, but he would snoop around in hopes of catching the pirate girl off guard. He would get his things darn it!

It was Thursday, and that meant one thing around the Jolly Rodger. It meant that most of the pirates weren't AROUND the Jolly Rodger. The sound of a rock ax chopping steadily into the side of a tree filled the air, followed by a remarkably deep voice laughing as the tree crashed to the ground.
The only problem was that the tree was crashing in the direction of the lost boy looking for Sparry.

Trystan paused in his search, gazing about his surroundings. Was he even going the right way? But he soon heard a deep laugh followed by the mysteriously familiar sound of a tree crashing to the ground. Wait, a tree crashing to the ground?
Trystan automatically looked up, his eyes growing wide as he caught sight of the tree coming his way. He blamed his luck as he screamed, fairly much like a girl mind you, and ran to the side hoping that he would make it away safe. Who the heck was cutting down trees where he was walking anyways?!

A large gator male stepped over the tree, turning and looking straight at him for a long, blank moment. "Oye!" he called over his shoulder. "Did we get a new brat that you haven't told me about?"
"Not that I know of, Cap'n!" Jake, a skinny black boy called from nearer the beach.
"Then we've got an intruder," Tock said, grinning evilly as he reached down, breaking a tree limb off of the tree he had just fell.

Why him. That was what Trystan was thinking as he stared in surprise at the gator who had apparently been the one who had chopped down the tree, and who was apparently the captain of the Jolly Roger, Tock. Why him indeed.
Whether it was the evil grin on the others face, or the breaking of the tree limb, he would never know, but whichever it was it shook him out of his dazed state and he scrambled to his feet. Running as fast as his jello ridden legs would take him, he tried his best to get away. He had wanted to run into the girl, not the stinking captain himself!

"Cap'n! You dropped your ax!" Jake shouted after him as Tock gave chase. He shook his head in amusement as Tock waved him off.
"You can ruuuuun, but you can't hiiiiiiidddeeee!" Tock called when he lost sight of the lost boy. It was too long of a trip for the kid to run all the way to the hut, so he had to be hiding somewhere. Tock smirked, breaking off the smaller limbs from the one he was holding, and dropping them on the ground.
He didn't need his ax to deal with a hut brat.

Trystan whined as he heard the other give chase. Out of all the things he had been trying to avoid, THIS was one of them. After a few moments he finally paused, panting heavily as he searched around for a hiding spot. Anything to save him from being captured yet again but a pirate. He was sure this time around he would have more to worry about than a bump on the head.
He finally spied a spot in a nearby tree that had perfect coverage from leaves and other branches. With a good huff and groan he pulled himself into the tree, ignoring the nicks the twigs were leaving behind on his legs. As he situated him self in the leaves, giving a quick look over to make sure he was well hidden, he waited, a silent prayer muttered over and over in his mind.
Please don't find me. Please don't find me.

This, Tock thought with an evil grin, was entertaining, even if it was distracting him from his work for the day. His nostrils flared and he sniffed the air, trying to catch the boy's scent. Stress made you sweat, and sweat was a pretty strong stench, since a lot of the hut brats didn't believe in bathing regularly.
"My question is," Tock said lazily, "what a hut brat was doing so close to the Jolly Rodger."

Hut brat? Trystan huffed in anger from the nickname. He wasn't fond of being called a brat, but he kept any verbal outrage to himself. What did he care what he was doing out here? Well ignoring the fact that most kids don't come out here very often without good reason.
Why in the world did he have such rotten luck today? All he wanted was his stuff back!

He almost heard the huff. He turned, looking in the direction of the hiding brat, a curious look on his face. "Maybe," he went on. "You were trying to steal something from us? Maybe a bit of gold, a couple of shinies... Or more likely, someone stole them from you?"

Trystan dared to peek through an opening and saw that the other was indeed looking in his direction. Great. But before he threw himself from the tree in order to run again, he stopped, listening to the other's words. Why the heck not, he was already found out anyways.
" I don't steal things from others," he corrected, his eyes searching for a spot o n the ground that would be a soft landing. " One of your pirates stole something from me. She had no right!" He rubbed the spot on the back of his head where he had hit it on the ground. " And she should learn to make better traps." Or maybe not since the trap breaking was why he was able to give chase.

"You don't really understand the meaning of the word 'pirate,' now do you?" Tock asked, stepping right in front of the tree the boy was in. "We steal from the people that have."
He grinned. "And what were you planning on doing to my pirate?" The tree limb smacked into his empty hand, making a loud, painful sound.

Apparently he really didn't know the meaning of pirates, but that still didn't give the girl the right to- oh jeez he was right in front of him. He winced at the sound of the smack, his muscles tensing and telling him it was time to flee now. But fear and stubbornness kept him in place.
What had he planned to do when he finally caught up to the pirate girl? To tell the truth, he hadn't thought that far ahead. He didn't know what he would have done if he ever found her. Ask for his stuff back? Yea like that would ever work.
He sighed before finally making his move to climb to the other side of the tree where he could drop down. " I dunno what I was planning. I just want my stone back, thats all."

Tock laughed out loud. "You really think asking a pirate to give loot back would work?" he asked. "A pirate would die before giving back treasure, boy. Or kill. Remember that before you go sneaking around my ship again."
He slapped the limb into his hand again, wondering if that had scared the kid enough, or if he needed to do something more...

Trystan frowned at the laugh, letting out an agitated huff. He wasn't one for violence, especially not against girls, that was just wrong. However, it seemed he had to be yet again reminded that pirates don't follow the same rules as he did. He held back his 'yes sir,' an automatic answer of his when being lectured to.
The final slap of the tree limb finally threw him into motion, dropping down onto the ground, scrambling to keep his balance as he tried to run away, glancing back at the other as he did. Now which way was the hut? He took off in a general direction he figured to be it, though he knew he wouldn't be able to run the whole way. Just as long as the other gave up chasing him.
