I've been writing a certain book for years. Of course, hardly any of it is on my computer because it keeps getting deleted as we move, but I've still been working on it for a really long time, and have really started to give my characters some depth and history. So I'm not bitter. *twitch*

The problem is that, for the first time, I can't think of anything to write. I've had this serious Writers Block for weeks, and I get the feeling that my story just isn't quite....right. Maybe my Writer's Block (yes, capital W and capital B) may be trying to tell me something. cry No matter which angle I approach from when I'm writing, I feel like I'm reaching a wall, and it actually starts to get boring writing it. Almost like when you reach the end of a long spree of inspiration, and past that, the extra writing just becomes overkill. I'm almost considering completely rewriting it (again) and starting with a whole new plot, following very loosely on the skeleton of my old one.

I'm not very far in, so I'm just trying to decide....should I do it?

Think about it.
Read through it a couple times and think - Would any of the /readers/ want to continue reading it?
Does it catch intrest?

And if you feel that it was lacking some serious...uh, how to say it...intrest? {(i can't think of the word)}...Then just start from scratch.

I'm only on the second page of my novel and dude, I've changed things for about the thousandth time. xD

Just go with what you think would catch other people's eyes.
If it would be boring to them, and if it's boring to you, then start over.
Sorry if I was useless. ^.^

Nononono, not useless at all. I was thinking of probably restarting it anyway. I just have to think now what to make my story about because my general storyline is so cliche. It's pretty bad... sweatdrop Have you read any of Tamora Pierce's books? I wish I could write like her. She's AMAZING!

Uhh, I never heard of her.
But I wish I could write like Markus Zusak. OH em eff gee, he is so shweet.
He is SUCH a fantastic writer. {(and kinda cute - COUGH COUGH. x.0)}
He's like in his thirties. xDD

But I hope things go good. whee
GOOOOOD LUCKKKKK. ^.^

I suggest you begin the new plot but keep the old one just in case you ever want to go back to it.

Another suggestion--try starting this one on the computer. This way, when you want to make changes and add or take away from the story, it's much easier, whereas in a notebook it's virtually impossible. This is an important skill to have, and it is essential to be able to revise. I suggest that if you're having issues with it being deleted that you back the story up on a thumb drive or CD, or perhaps on another computer. =]

Haha, I do all of my writing on the computer.
Unless I use one of my fifty notebooks when I'm add school or something.

But normally I don't write in a notebook.
I'm a terrible writer {(err, you know what I mean)} and my hand cramps up easily.
Sooo.
There's my reason. xD

That makes a sense. ^^ Although fifty is a high number! whee

Yeah, I used to use notebooks too! But then I started to write enough that I couldn't keep up with transferring my work to the computer and I abandoned the notebooks... xP

Yeah, I've given up on notebooks because they usually get lost or stolen by a nosy friend. D: I still use them at school, though, so that I can work on plot. Wow, I had NO idea that creating plots were so hard. I've been working on this one story, and I'm running out of things to do in the middle. I keep getting stuck in one place, trying to figure out what next bit of ill-fortune shall befall my character and progress the story more. I am SO glad that I haven't written it much yet, because I still have to find out what the main climax is supposed to be. rofl

I'm having to have my friends help me because of A.) a sudden unfortunate loss of imaginative skills, and B.) my very flat characters who would just love to be real characters (Pinocchio flashback) -____-
