Rules of the story game (for those unfamiliar with the idea) are: write up to one full sentence of your own that continues the story. You can write whatever you want, just as long as it follows guild rules and isn't against the Gaia TOS. smile
Story will start out about Anita Blake, since that's all I'm really familiar with.

the phone rang and as she picked it up found that it was dolph on the other end. "well to what do i owe the honor?"
"dont get smart anita, we need your help... bad.. we've asked around and no one has a clue what the hell this is." dolph said serious as always.

dolph sighed *i dont hate you anita... i just... well damn it dont get me off topic... this is serious s**t.... we've found... something... and it looks reptilian... but ive never seen a reptile with scales this big... not even the naga we found that one time... we need you to come look at it"

Anita cursed under her breath at how crappy her night was turning out...she didn't want to see the see the thing that had forced Dolph to call her despite how he had been avoiding her the past few months. She put on her jacket and went to meet her client.

at first glance she knew something was wrong...although dressed in an exspensive suit it looked worn...her client looked a bit uneasy almost jittery... he said "im glad you could see me in such short notice...i need your help...i cant remember the past 72 hrs..."

deciding to test his theory she reached deep within herself where she found her spark.. her necromancy... she reached it out and sure enough.. it recognized him as some sort of undead..the man gasped as he felt her power "what is that?" he asked.
"its what allows me to control the dead... and sure enough.. thats exactly what you are." she shook her head dissappointed in herself that she hadnt recognized it as soon as the man came in... "now you said there was a fresh corpse next to you, why didnt you call the police?"

"look can we sit down and talk in your office?" anita turned on her heel and replied "this way..." she opened the door for him "have a seat..." he sat down staightening out his suit..."do you remember the red womans husband? well i was one of his servants...a shapeshifter... or was a shapeshifter" she closed the door behind them and eyed him cautiously as he continued
"i was what you called a Quetzalcoatl Draconus Giganticus...a dragon of sorts" "well after his death i wasnt bound to him no longer and i was free to do as i pleased" "so i roamed the world looking for others like me but was unsuccesful in my quest...so i decided to come to st louis and check it out...mostly because theres a more prominent shapeshifter community here than other cities..."

suddenly anita's phone rang and she jumped a little bit."hold on a minute please i wont be long; hello?" she was surprised to find dolph on the other end again.
"anita, sorry to call you back but we have another case that coinsides with that scale i told you about.. we're at a cemetary right now with a fresh corpse and a lotttt of these scales around the area... and anita.. theres an empty grave.. have you raised anyone recently from ardale cemetary?"
"no no i havent...let me call you back in just a minute... i think i may have some information on that body for you" and with that she hung up.

She looked at the man...corpse, standing infront of her. It was amazing how human he looked standing here, even when she knew how good zombies could look when she used chickens to raise them. She couldn't take him to the crime scene with her when she didn't know what he might do, but she didn't really want him to be wandering around on his own.
"I'll be less than twenty minutes, Dolph. I need to quickly drop something off at home." Satisfied with her white lie, she hung up and looked at the man. "I need to help the police with some routine...questions. Can you stay at my house for a few hours until I come back and speak to you?"

(ok break from story for a sec... i dont really want to reply to that and it doesnt seem like anyone else can either.... for 1... anita would never ask anyyyone to her house she didnt know much less a self proclaimed murderous/shapeshifter/corpse... and 2nd... this post kinda contradicted my previous post where i said she hung up the phone... so.. someone else is gonna have to reply to this one.. cause i got nothin...)
