Flower landed heavily into a tree near a stream. She looked around before removing her heavy pouch. "Daisy??" She called out. "Where are you at??" She continued to look around. Where had that mus gotten too?? She ruffled her feathers getting comfortable on the branch. "I'll just wait here for you." She opened up her pouch and started sorting out todays gatherings. She had gotten lots of flowers and herbs today. She started sorting them into piles of likeness. She heard a creak in the trees nearby. "Daisy??" She turned towards the creak.

Merlin beat the air with tawny wings, heading back to the great tree with his catch. Today, he'd only managed a few mice and a squirrel; prey seemed to be scarce all of a sudden, which was strange considering the season...Perhaps the plants had not been growing very well. The animals that Merlin hunted were mostly dependent on the grasses and berries. This not being his area of expertise, he'd need to find a Gatherer for more information.
Looking down, a flash of bright green caught his eye. He swooped down, to get a closer look. It was another Sentinel. She was quite flashy, showing off an extreme dye-job, and beautiful emerald eyes. The pouch of herbs on the ground seemed to indicate that she was a Gatherer, just who he needed to talk to. But most importantly, she was female. Being quite the flirt, Merlin very much enjoyed the company of female Sentinels.
Merlin landed on an adjacent branch with a flourish. Puffing out his chest, he made a little bow, and smiled cheerfully."Greetings! Merlin, at your service, milady."

Flower ruffled her feathers quite startled by Merlin. She peered at him before her feathers soothed down into place. Merlin he said his name was. He was pretty cute. She hadn't been around any other Sentinel's so he really was the frist she had met. "I'm Flower. Nice to meet you Merlin." She started putting her piles of flowers and herbs back into her pouch. "How are you this lovely day?"

"Oh, much better now that I've met you, m'dear.” Merlin bobbed his head. “Though I do believe that your name is not very fitting..." He gave Flower a pretend-frown. "Because even the prettiest flower could not compare to your beauty." He finished his compliment with a roguish wink.
“And how are you?”

Flower blushed as she finished packing her pouch. "Why thank you. You yourself are raither handsome. I am well a little bit tired. I been out gathering all morning. And I have seem to have lost my mus." She looked around for Daisy. "Have you happen to come across a mus that looks about like I do??" She peered at him wondering what it was he did for his profession. "Might I ask what it is you do for your living?"

If it was even at all possible, Merlin puffed up and stood straighter. "I, myself, am a Hunter." He motioned at the dead squirrel by his side and waved the mice clenched in his left talon. "Unfortunately, it seems that all the prey are hiding these days; I had a tough job finding anything bigger than a Mus...perhaps the plants have not been growing well this season?"
Merlin blinked, owlishly. "Speaking of Mus, I'd be happy to offer you my services in finding your lost companion. Rest assured that Merlin will find your Mus! You have my solemn word." He bowed, wing extended.

Flower thought a moment. "Perhaps you are hunting in over hunted areas. The plants are doing wonderfully this year." She opened up her pouch again and pulled out some raither large blackberries. "As you can tell the berries are just beautiful!!" She looked at his catch. They did look a little bit on the skinny side. "Maybe over population or to much hunting in their areas." She peered at him then smiled. "Yes help would be wonderful. I don't know where Daisy has gotten to. I hope she is not injuried or being made into someones lunch." She cringed at the thought of her mus being lunch.

Hmm...something was definitely wrong...Merlin was far too experianced of a Hunter to overhunt or neglect to control the population of his territory's prey. Perhaps there had been some sickness or disease...or maybe it was just a normal population decline. Ah well. In light of Flower's missing Mus, he'd keep his minor troubles to himself.
Merlin gave Flower a reassuring smile. "Not to worry! If your little Daisy is dyed half as vibrantly as yourself, she'd be too cute for anyone to eat." He preened one of his chest feathers, apparently deep in thought. "Where and when was the last place you saw her? Perhaps we should start from there. Bring your pouch; if she smells the herbs, she'll know where you are."

Flower thought a moment then slipped on her pouch. "I would hope nobody would eat her. She looks much differently then anything I would eat. We were over around that area last I saw. We said we would meet here in this tree for a break and a little breakfast." She took off the branch raither gracefully for carrying a heavy pouch. She flew towards where she had last seen Daisy. "I hope we can find her. I am a bit worried about her."

A moment after Flower had leapt into the air, Merlin took flight. Gliding off to her right, he silently admired her grace in flying. He himself, was still burdened by his catch.
"I'd assume that you haven't had any breakfast yourself, if you've been worrying your pretty little head about Daisy. Would you care for a mouse or two? It'd be rather inconvieniant to search with no free talons..."
When his gaze was not upon Flower, Merlin scanned the trees for any sign of a moss-colored Mus.

Flower landed in a tree near where she last saw Daisy. "Breakfast would be nice. But only if you are going to dine with me" She peered at Merlin watching him as he flew. "Any ways down there was the last time I saw her." She pointed a wing down into a small area full of flowers and different herbs.

Merlin landed with a heavy thump. "I'd be glad to oblige you, milady." He handed Flower two mice, with a small bow.
He gulped down the his own mouse, before speaking. "Well, I can see how a daisy would get lost in that particular meadow." ...But this was not the time to be making his bad puns. If there was one thing Merlin absolutely failed at, it was his lame jokes. Other Sentinels usually laughed...but at him, not with him.

Fault lazily flew from tree to tree her jade eyes scanning here and there for thick dry moss, she was looking for more bandaging. She beat the air heavily with her wings as she scoured the forest. Her Parus Kes was diving here there and everywhere, with no scence of her own personal space. she was a young thing and hadnt quite settled into Faults rather sedate ways of carrying out tasks. Her lively nature was starting to grate roughly on her nerves. She took a turn and swooped to the left still scanning for what she wanted. She would have got a gatherer to do it but she was getting fed up with bieng at her post and nipped out for the fresh air. Kes suddenly dipped far too low over Faults head and brushed on her ear tufts. Fault snapped and swiftly turned upwards and bashed the little parus roughly over the head with her wing. 'can you not even fly straight you pest, pack it in!'she growled, leveling out and flying ahead 'sorry miss' chirped the slightly dazed scolded parus

Flower ate her own mouse. She let out a giggle at Merlin's raither lame joke. "Yes daisy's do go lost down there." She peered down into the meadow. "Theres lots of daisy's down there." She slipped off her pouch before looking around cautiously. She took off from the branch then landed on the ground below them. She heard the swoosh of wings nearby then looked around spotting the raither beautiful white Sentinel. "Hello!!" She said raither loudly hoping the other would hear her. "Have you seen a mus that looks alot like me??"

'Afraid I havent' Replied Fault haughtily 'but if you dont find it I'd gladly give you a Parus with the sences of a brick' she shot a scorching glare at Kes who ducked a bit further to the left, chirping happily to herself. Fault sighed and shook her head she swooped heavily and clumsily landed on a branch just above the ground so she could chat. She was bored and loved to vent her angers on others. She sat there on the branch fo a while just staring here and there and eventually gave a wry smile and preened her feathers. Kes landed somewhere further up and was singing to herself and pulling leaves off the tree. Fault could tell because they were dropping down every now and then. She tried her best to look skulky despite the leaves dropping on her head.
