The leaves found themselves wet that morning, covered in unfrozen dewdrops and with a gentle spring sun beating down upon them. They shimmered and shone, bright green eager to show off after months of being stuck under chilling ice. And though they must've felt themselves the prettiest things under the sky, there was at least one child who disagreed. Squinting his eyes at the bright sun, he rested his arm against the glass and was shocked to find that even that had turned warm. He barely suppressed a shudder at the sight his now sullen face found.. The majestic, beautiful white that had blanketed all of his world for as long as he could remember had been reduced to mere water, save for the few piles of melting grey cowardly hiding in the shade.
When a nurse tried to comfort the upset blonde by telling him this happened every year, he shook his head vigourously in denial. He didn't.. no, couldn't believe that. The snow was his everything. In an attempt to defeat reality, the young blonde quickly trudged over to the nurse and asked for his coat. When she, with some concern showing in her wrinkles, asked him why he wanted to go outside, he smiled and said with a resolute nod: "Because I'm going to find the snow and bring it back." And that was that, out he went.

Selene glared up at the sun, hating that the season she hated the most was upon her. "It's not fair!" She pouted, stamping her foot down on the ground. How could the snow go away? She loved it and she wasn't thrilled that it was gone. "I wish you'd come back..." She said, her fury fading fastly into despair. She'd never had to see the snow melt before, and she felt like her heart was breaking now that it was gone. "Please come back... I miss you!" She said, staring up at the azure sky above, feeling hopeless.
