Just as the title says.
I was randomly searching through fanfiction.net when i came across a fic for them named "Carousel" that I'm sure a lot of you have read. Then i was hooked. But at the time there was only roughly a page worth of fics for the pairing so i began writing my own. Now there's what, 13 pages worth of fics for NejiGaara?
It's lovely.

I was looking through fanfiction.net too. I think I was just choosing two people at random in the character boxes to see if there were any stories about them. When I looked up Neji and Gaara I came across several stories with the paining so I decided to read one to see if I liked it. The story I ended up reading was "Sand in your Shorts" (the link is in the NejiGaaraNeji fanfic listing thread) and I was instantly in love with the pair. After that, I kept looking for more until I had read most of the NejiGaara stories on fanfiction.net.

Albert Dynamite Just as the title says.

Yeah that's the first NejiGaara I ever read! I was immediately hooked! I'm not sure why exactly, considering I knew that they didn't really even look at each other in the anime. But they're just too cute to resist!

Well, then I first saw Naruto it was in Shonen Jump and it was right at the chapter where Gaara, Kankurou and Temari were introduced. At first thought I was all "SasuGaa?"
So I looked up Naruto fanfiction and I came across a oneshot by BJ Saunders with Neji and Gaara. Well, I was already a huge fan of Neji because he's beautiful. I thought to myself "Well they're both hot" So I started looking up more.
Pretty soon I was an obsessed, die-hard fan and I started writing.

I had been watching the dubs with my friend and she suddenly said to me, "Hey! I just got a new laptop!"
And I said, "Hm"
And she said, "Hey, read something"
She made me read some NejiGaara oneshot and I said, "Hm, I never thought of those two like that"
And she said, "START WRITING!"
Since then I guess they've just been a must I guess, nothing else seems to fit.

Amusing.
I started reading fics or looking for fandom after I liked the pairing...
I thought about it out of the blue, never read it or saw anything about it. I just loved the fact that Neji was an a*****e and Gaara was b*****d with no feelings whatsoever, what does that equals...a rough, violent, self-destructive pairing. which is yummy.
I started liking the pairing even before the anime in Japan started airing Naruto vs Neji. So yeah, I been liking it for a LONG time.
To bad Gaara became well...what he is now, and Neji is now less offensive.

my sister was searching fanfiction.net she called me up knowing about gaara and neji being my favorite characters and she kind of thinks i'm in love with them or something but she told me about a thread she found and i was totally hooked or whatever and i wanted to know more about it heart 3nodding sweatdrop

I was totally hooked after I started reading HurricaneRider's Vindicated. Any time I started reading it I totally had to tear myself away.

The only Author I can stand that writes Neji/Gaara is Ruriko L. Minamino Even though White Noise is getting kind of annoying and half of the chapters are like fillers, the characters are not as OOC as the ones in those fics. So you actually enjoy reading about them.

Minamino being pretty darn good, Uchihacest being gross and Goddess33 being FANTASTIC. I hope she updates Ninja Club soon ;o; She's so good at building up tension when she wants to be! I think her fics are the perfect ones to introduce a person to NejiGaa, they're just so great =DD I wish she'd take a shot at KankSakon >:3
