That's right!
Down the staircase, behind the portrait of the fruit..
All you have to do is tickle the pear, and you'll enter the Hogwarts' kitchens, most of the time swarmed with house-elves who'll be as willing as anything to make you comfortable <3

Persephone grumbled as she shifted the heavy books on her hips. She was walking down to the kitchens to grab a snack before she had to go up to the common room and do her homework. She knew the Hufflepuff common room was around this area, so she was hoping no one would think she was trying to sneak in. She reached the large painting of the fruit and tickled the pear. The painting swung open, and she left her books up against the wall as she walked in. The house-elves knew her well, since she came there a lot.
"Hello everyone," she said. They all called her 'madam' and offered her her favorite snack. She sat down on a bench and started talking to the ones around her.

marduke was arguing in the corner with an elf
" i wanted blueberry not banana!" she shoved the muffin at the elf who wandered off the get to the correct muffin. she looked around slyly and tasted the batter for the cookies about to be made.

"You shouldn't be mean to them, you know," Sephie said, looking over at Marduke. "They'll get you anything if they like you. For all you know, that elf could be spitting on your blueberry muffin."

"i had a meeting with my mother last night, appearently dad wants back in the picture..." marduke rolled her eyes. she felt tight inside.

Persephone scowled. She knew Marduke's whole family had problems. After her parents died, Sephie's family became the same way. Well, not exactly the same, since Marduke's family's problem is the fact that it's full of dark wizards, and hers is that it can't keep its s**t together after what happened.
"Which one would you rather live with?" Sephie asked.

"honestly me and my father have been sneaking letters back a forth as Nightflight being my father, Aldebaran Black, because his animagous is a bat and hoodwink for me, being a fox" marduke sighed and thought of her dad.

"Really?" Sephie asked, genuinely shocked. "How did he ever end up with your mother then?"
A particularly small house-elf brought her a goblet of pumpkin juice, and Sephie muttered her thanks, thinking about Marduke's bizarre family.

"my father trains aurors....he really wants to meet you."

Persephone laughed quietly at Marduke's remark about her mother being a crazy-a** loon. That was really the only way to describe her...to think that she was ever functional in society was strange.
When Marduke mentioned her dad's profession, Persephone perked up.
"Well jeez, you should have told me that before! And i'd love to meet him as well...i dunno when we'll find the time though."

Persephone laughed at Marduke and her father's code name for her.
"Yeah, i know that name. My parents used to call me that as like a pet name, instead of 'sweetie' or 'darling' or whatever. It's pretty clever of you to use it as a code name, actually."
Persephone smiled and stared blankly at the corner as she remembered her parents for a moment.
"And yeah, the Room of Requirement sounds like a good place. Or the Owlry or somewhere. But the Room of Requirement's probably better, since we can make it so no one can come in and find us."
