This is a thread to debate about both how much guys and girls lie to their bfs/gfs, and why they do it, and also if there is a way of finding out whether they are or not.

if you truly love eachother you wont lie to eachother but the fact is this is a trust thing if you don't fully trust eachother you cant fully say everything to eachother that depends on the realationship also it depends on what the subject is on on why they may lie cause they think it would be better for your feelings but idk exactly that depends on the situation

You shouldn't lie in a relationship. I will admit that for certain reasons you will so the other one doesn't feel bad, but still. You shouldn't lie. You should be able to trust the other person.

Sorry, I haven't been on much recently. To better explain this thread, I had a gf (sort of) that.....well, i won't get into it, but i think that she pretended to want to commit suicide in order to get my attention, and i'm wondering if that's something that most girls would do, or what?

no, i'm okay with talking about it openly. I mean, now that i look back on it i can tell how stupid i was to fall for it. I mean, i'm still not sure if she was actually thinking of committing suicide, but it's quite obvious that she was mostly just trying to get my attention.

Sometimes they want to protect their relationship and you can detect lie by body language....

she might have just wanted you to pay more attention to her.
even so, that's still not what a relationship should have.
I mean yea, you should pay attention to each other but not 24/7.
That's just asking for problems there.

well yea she might be saying that she needs more attention but that really isn't the way to go about it but no you should always be there when they need you to the best of your abilitys but either way that does not really excuse lieing to people about things thou humans do it out of habit
