It was cold, windy, and thoroughly unpleasant; or so Lucius thought. He sat on the side of a hill, face partially hidden by his cashmere scarf, watching the going-ons with sharp silver eyes. His “pack’s” human, Holy, had decided that it was yet again time for her furry little friends to go out and socialize. Originally meeting in the rolling meadows had seemed like a fine idea, or at least it had until the wind picked up and the snow began to fall.
Refusing to leave his son in the care of a mere human, Memnoch had brought the small, spiky white feather with him. Once it had begun to snow Memnoch had decided that the current conditions simply weren’t tolerable concerning his heir, and so had ordered Damon to dig out a hollow in a hill. Vanya, being thoroughly bored, joined in the excavation and was shortly joined by O’Ahu at the encouragement of Candy. Only the tips of O’Ahu’s blue tails could be seen sticking out of the tunnel, the rest of the tunnel being obscured by the dirt being flung out.
Seemingly satisfied that the borrow was almost finished, Memnoch stood up and strutted over to where he had left his son: beneath Lucius’s tails. Lucius had not minded, preferring to have his tails used as a thermal blanket then being ordered by Memnoch to join the other three in the digging.

Violen growled quietly as he threaded through the freshly powdered snow. It was much but it was enough to set off his temper. Behind him followed Haust, Rajani, Spectrum, and Kirola. Kismet and Evergreen decided it was best to stay behind the pact, walking slowly. Evergreen wasn't that excited about meeting new moombi and stayed close to Kismet. She was like a mother to the young kit and she didn't mind staying behid watching him.
A sigh escaped Spectrum's mouth as the wind picked up. "Wonderful..." he murmered. Rajani smirked and leaned towards Spectrum. "What are you complaining about? You're supposed to be thankful for the wind, bird boy."
Spectrum ingored Rajani, walking ahead just so he can smack him in the face with his tails. Rajani's nose wrinkled in displeasure, temptation of bitting the moombi's tail growing with each passing second.
Haust walked, eyes focused ahead. He mostly was looking for the one who was slowly capturing his heart, Akira. Maybe she would be here. That's the only thing that caused him to come.
Kirola seemed to be in a daze, unaware of what's going on. He almost walked into Violen upon his short stop. "H-huh?" he shook his head and noticed the reason. "What are they doing?"
Violen shrugged, "Don't know. Don't care."
Kismet pranced up, fairly interested. "Oh Violen! Don't be such a stick in the mud! Come on guys let's go see what's up!" she giggled and rushed down to get a better look, Evergreen trailing close behind.

Pale violet eyes blinked sleepily and a groan was heard as they focused in on the unusual pile of snow blocking her doorway. Unusual being that snow couldn’t fall in on it’s own like that without help since the den was so far back from the surface. “Kai!” Moaned Akira as she circled the mess, “Clear this out now!” The white and gold moombi sighed and her tails moved impatiently.
Her ears twitched as a familiar chuckle reached them, “But I worked so hard on my masterpiece Akira!” She could just imagine the smirk and victorious look in his red eyes. “Do I have to destroy it?”
Before Akira could come up with a nice retort, the sound of someone else’s approach and a soft exclaim of, “Kai!” announced Fuyoku’s arrival to the scene. “Akira, are you back there?”
“Unfortunately yes.” She replied while starting to dig through the snow. Soon a small hole appeared and she could see that the other two were working on it as well. When she emerged she smacked Kai on the head with her tails and went towards the surface. “Come on!”
“Oh…okay.” Replied Fu and she and Kai hurried after Akira to a meadowish clearing. “Eh!?” In the softly falling snow, the three noticed that they weren’t the only moombi there. However Akira left the other two as soon as she spotted a moombi that she held dear, Haust.
“Hey!” But Kai just let her be and him and Fu started towards the others. He recognized some of them…at least Kismet anyway.

A muffled scuffling sound could be heard, and soon a brown head popped out of the opposite side of the hill, quickly followed by a spotted body. Clambering to the top of the hill, Vanya gave herself a shake, sending dirt flying everywhere, much to Lucius’s displeasure. Smirking at her disgruntled denmate, her keen golden eyes swept across the meadow and noticed that many other Moombi had shown up.
“ May have to make it bigger…” she pondered quietly before calling out,” Hey there y’all!”
Candy, Lucius, and Memnoch promptly turned to see the other newcomers. Both Lucius and Memnoch refrained from saying anything, but Candy waved shyly at the other Moombi before prodding Nereus in the side. Nereus opened a lazy eye, glanced around, and promptly rolled over and went back to sleep.
Damon crawled out of the hole that Vanya had recently vacated, immediately padding over to Memnoch and sitting beside him. Finally O’Ahu came out, but upon glancing over the hill and seeing Kirola he let out a strangled squawk and ducked back down.

Haust turned his head to notice Akira making her way over to him. His emotionless expression brightened with a smile. "Hello Akira."
Kismet stopped and looked up at Vayna. "Hey there!" Evergreen looked up in synch with Kismet. He backed up slowly and shyly said his hello.
Violen, Rajani, and Spectrum sat down besides each other. Violen wasn't interested in anything that was going on. Quiet frankly, it was hard for him to find something that could keep his interest at all. Rajani on the other hand made it his objective to piss off Spectrum. Spectrum was well aware of that and got up, making his way closer to the den that the others were building. Rajani just sat behind, resting his head on his forepaws.
Kirola's ear twitched at the squawk that came from O'Ahu. He only met O'Ahu once and it wasn't really that much of a meeting. Perhaps something spooked the poor thing he thought to himself. He followed Spectrum close behind. "Hello there everyone. Lovely day, isn't it?"

Returning the smile, Akira nodded to Haust, "Hello, Haust." She managed before the familiar hint of a blush appeared on her cheeks. "How have you been?"
"Hey yourself!" Shouted Kai in return to Vanya before bounding over with a huge grin on his face. Fuyuko being as shy as usualy followed silently at his heels with her head bowed.
Taking quick peeks at all of the other moombi around Fu couldn't help but feel a quiet curiousity. Quiet, because she was definitely too shy to approach them on purpose. So with that in mind, she just nodded and looked away quickly whenever she accidently made eye contact with the others.

All the shouting finally woke up Nereus, who grumbled incoherently while stumbling to his paws. Candy was now crouching beside him, vaguely frightened by all the Moombi and aforementioned shouting. Every now and then her eyes would dart to Lucius’s tails, underneath which she knew was the feather Palamon – call it maternal instincts, but she wanted to look after it – and occasionally she would glance at a blue female Moombi that seemed no bolder then herself.
Candy’s glances did not go unnoticed by Memnoch, who promptly hissed at the pastel Moombi, sending her scampering beneath Nereus’s tails. With a sigh O’Ahu realized he had to get a hold of himself, and so he made his way over the hill, swatting Memnoch with his tails as his approached the too-big Moombi comically trying to hide beneath her friend’s bushy tails.
“ A bit cold, but nice.”
Lucius snorted. “ Decidedly not.”
Vanya rolled her eyes at the antics of her “evil” denmates – Lucius and Memnoch – and hoped that Palamon would not be anything like them. She then grinned at the other Moombi that had approached her.
“ So who are you all? I’m Vanya. My denmates… well, I’m too lazy to go through all their names.”
“ Nereus.” Nereus yawned, then turned around and poked beneath his tail, receiving a squeak of, “ Candy!” in response.
“ I’m O’Ahu.”
“ Damon.”
Memnoch looked at Vanya as if she were jesting and promptly turned his back on the rest of the Moombi. Lucius, torn between the desire to present good manners and the desire to stay on Memnoch’s good side, finally said with a slight sneer,” Malfoy.”
Rolling her eyes at the grumpy red Moombi’s behavior, she waved a paw at him.
“ And the grouch is Memnoch.”

Haust thought for a moment. "I've been fine. How about you?"
Kismet nodded after listening to all their names. "Nice to meet you all. I'm Kismet, this here is Evergreen. Don't mind him, he's a little shy." Evergreen nodded in agreement and remained hidden by Kismet's body and tails.
Kirola bowed. "It's wonderful to be meeting you all. I am Kirola."
Spectrum looked back at the two off away from the group, Violen and Rajani, and motioned his head for them to come over and join in the conversations. "Spectrum."
Violen and Rajani slowly wandered over, Violen more or less slower than Rajani. He wasn't in the mood to be meeting people. Rajani smirked upon seeing the others. "The name's Rajani." Violen sat there, getting glared at by Kismet and Spectrum. He knew he at least had to say his name. "Violen."
Kismet smiled, but it faded upon noticing Haust was missing. "W-where? Ohhhh... being a love bird." she shook her head.

"Interesting mix we have here."Muttered Kai, but he was still in good humor despite it. "I'm Kai and this blue thing beind me that acts like a second shadow is Fuyuko. Fu for short. The white moombi that came with us is Akira, where ever she may be." But hearing Kismet comment on Haust confirmed exactly where Kai believed Akira to be at the moment.
"Ni..nice to met you all." The soft whisper came from Kai's 'shadow' before she retreated backwards. But there was some relief for her when she noticed that she wasn't the only shy moombi there.
With a faint smile Akira looked at Haust, "That's good." Then she paused. "I've been good, with the usual pranks on Kai's part though. Woke up to a pile of snow this morning." She shook her head and laughed softly at the memory, "He loves to give me trouble. But I'm doing really good today...especially since I've seen you today." The blush deepened and she lowered her gaze a notch to stare at her paws.

“ Seems there’s one in every group.” Muttered Nereus, trying to reclaim the use of his tails while waving a lazy paw at Evergreen and Fuyuko. Candy’s head peeked out from beneath Nereus’s tails to see what he was talking about and Nereus immediately wrapped his tails around himself. Candy floundered for a moment, seemingly at a loss, until she spotted Evergreen.
‘ Baby!’ she cooed mentally, timidly approaching the young green Moombi.
O’Ahu attempted to return Kirola’s bow, but succeeded in nothing beyond falling awkwardly onto his side. Huffing indignantly, he immediately righted himself and gave Kirola a sheepish grin while mentally swearing to make Lucius teach how to bow properly.
“ ‘Interesting’ is one way to put it.” Sniffed Lucius daintily, ignoring the rather odd sensation of having Memnoch rustle through his tails. Finally finding what he was looking for – the spiky white feather – Memnoch picked it up in his mouth and shot the other Moombi a cold look before retreating into the borrow.

Evergreen's ears drooped as Candy approached. He backed up slowly, his tails quickly curling behind his body until he fumbled over them. He wigged his way up to his feet, much like a turtle would but quicker. "...H-hi." he said quietly trying to ignore the embarrassment that took over him, causing him to blush.
Kismet smiled slightly and pranced off over to Kai. She figured it would do Evergreen some good to be off on his own to meet some other moombi. Upon getting closer to Kai she rushed forwards in attempt to tackle him.
Haust nuzzled his cheek against Akira's. "I am sorry to hear that such a thing happened to you. I bet he means well in the end." he paused upon hearing the last words of her sentence. For once the black moombi with scattered leaves splattered in his fur was at a loss for words. He could feel his cheeks redden but was relieved his fur concealed it. Once finding his voice he continued. "Thank you Akira." Sadly he couldn't bring himself to say more due to the fear of scaring her by his sudden kindness. After all, he was a rather emotionless moombi.
A smirk slithered across Kirola's face as he tried to restrain a chuckle. "Well aren't you a cute one O'Ahu?" He meant well by his words but understood he might have come off as rude.
Violen glared at Memnoch. He didn't know what his problem was and decided it was best to leave it at that. He removed himself from the spot in which he sat and wandered over to a tree, planting himself down next to it, front paws being used a as a pillow.

Fu peered around and blinked at Nereus. 'One in every group?' Realization was slow to dawn on her, but in a way the young moombi understood the meaning.
Tiliting his head at Lucious and Memnoch, Kai was about to say something until he noticed a familiar shape coming at him. "Oiy Kismet! Sto...stop!" He backed up in order to dodge but ended up tripping over his own tails and fell down with a small 'Ack!'
Fu laughed silently to herself from the shadows and was glad that she had already moved out of the way. Now what to do...moving silently the blue moombi glanced around at the others, listening.
"In the end." Akira repeated with a small grin. Hearing Haust thank her made Akira pause in surprise and with a shy smile she finally spoke up, "Nothing to thank me for....it is the truth after all." She rubbed her face with a paw now feeling the usual shy embaressment that came with talking like this to Haust.

Vanya glowered at Lucius who, as usual, failed to notice. Crouching down, her haunches wriggled slightly before she pounced, sharp teeth latching onto the white ponce’s scarf. Letting out a girly shriek – Vanya would make certain to tease him for it later – Lucius jumped and twisted, trying to free his precious scarf from Vanya. Damon was content to watch at first, but upon seeing just how riled up the arrogant Moombi was becoming, he finally decided to intervene.
“ Let go, Vanya.” He rumbled quietly. “ He will make me go shopping with him should he need to replace that scarf; I detest shopping.”
Candy stopped in her tracks, ears drooping sadly as the young Moombi scrambled to put distance between them. It was truly a rare thing for her to approach anyone, and yet the cute-ness of babies was something that usually helped her overcome her shyness. The fact that the little one before her seemed to be afraid of her made her sad.
“ I’m not going to hurt you…”
Normally O’Ahu would find being called “cute” offensive. However, when Kirola said it he had to resist the urge to grin like a loon, settling instead for puffing his chest out proudly. Nereus, seeing his “son’s” actions, rolled his eyes.
‘ Displaying, eh?'

Evergreen stopped backing away and looked at Candy. "..Y-you're not?" he was slightly relieved. He probably would have more courage if he wasn't one of the youngest here. Forcing a smile upon his face, he perked up and slowly went over to Candy.
Kismet giggled upon seeing Kai stumble and tackled him regardless. "Aww, did lil' Kai fall over? You fly better than you walk!" She was just poking fun, nothing rude intended though she wasn't sure how he'd take the joke. Probably well she guessed. At least, she hoped.
Kirola looked at O'Ahu slightly confused at the moombi's change of body language. "Hm..." his thought got the better of him and he fell silent.
Haust just sat next to Akira and wrapped his tails around her's. His silence overtook him, much like what happened to Kirola, although it was natural for him. Sometimes, it was best to leave things unspoken. He couldn't think of anything else to say, after all, love was a new emotion for him to comprehend.
((Sorry for the crappy post, I gotta get ready for school. xDD))

With a silent glare at Kismet, Kai wiggled free and stood. "I...I can walk perfectly fine, thank you very much!" With that said he started to walk forwards, but since he wasn't really mad at Kismet...he decided to goof off some more. "See? I can walk perfectly fine..." He turned and started to walk back towards her, but ended up falling again. This time on purpose so that it turned into a short tackle where he ended up falling on top of Kismet. "Maybe not..." He corrected with a wide grin on his face.
Feeling Haust's warmth made Akira's mouth curl into a small smile. For her silence was something she could enjoy...and for some reason this silence wasn't all that awkward for her. 'Not awkward at all...'
Now Fu was watching Akira, but decided that she wouldn't disrupt them. So the younger moombi slowly headed back towards the others. Her ears twitched in the direction of where Candy and Evergreen were. With small silent steps Fu went behind them to listen in.
