Thing is, she's been one of my best friends for about 3 years now. I don't want to make a move, because I don't want to risk ruining our friendship. But...I really like her. A lot.
And one time, I was giving her a goodbye hug (in my group, we all hug each other), and I swear, I almost kissed her. I stopped myself before it happened, or before she (or anyone else) realized anything, but I'm so ashamed. I should be able to control myself better. I'm a little frightened at the intensity of my feelings.
So, anyone got any advise?

Well you have to consider whether the risk of losing her friendship, which may not happen, worth possibly getting involved with her. You will just continue to torture yourself if you keep it inside, BELIEVE me I almost went insane with this one girl at cheerleading camp (ugh I still cant believe I did that oh well I was young and chasing tail wink ) anywho it's ultimately up to you on what you do but I think you should just tell her how you feel.

Hello...
Some of the best and longest relationships I've had are the ones that have been with freinds. My bff kris and I had a thing and Even though she realized that she's straight... We are still bff's and It's a great freindship even though we took it to that leval for awhile...
So the only thing I can say is go for it and see what happens. You will regret it if you don't do anything and wind up always wondering what might have been.

Well, if you ask me, you should not be afraid to reveal your feelings for her. Cause just by that story alone, i can tell you are afraid of what others will think of you if they knew you loved her. Nothing pisses me off more than knowing that people can't be themselves cause of others threats in this world. So overall, I'd have to say you should be loved for being yourself than for being someone you are not, you feel me?
