This is basically an "Ask Bebi" thread. As some of you may know my knowledge is quite extensive when it comes to the RE Universe. I take great pride in knowing as much as I can about this amazing game series. So here is a chance for you to ask any questions you may have or wish cleared up, this relates to locations, people, monsters, etc.

I have a question. When is RE:Gaiden supposed to take place? I mean, Leon and Barry are working together in an anti-umbrella organization, made up of Raccoon City survivors, STARS members, and X-Umbrella employees. They seem to have been doing this for a while, yet Leon is still wearing his RPD uniform, we have not heard anything about Leon helping the president yet. On top of that Leon supposedly dies at the end (The tyrant takes his place) yet he's in RE4... wtf?! gonk

Shi_Yatsu I have a question. When is RE:Gaiden supposed to take place? I mean, Leon and Barry are working together in an anti-umbrella organization, made up of Raccoon City survivors, STARS members, and X-Umbrella employees. They seem to have been doing this for a while, yet Leon is still wearing his RPD uniform, we have not heard anything about Leon helping the president yet. On top of that Leon supposedly dies at the end (The tyrant takes his place) yet he's in RE4... wtf?! gonk I can definitely understand your frustration over something like that. Little is really known about this game, but after a little scanning, I can surmise this game can be viewed one of two ways, just note these are pretty much my views and can be changed if you don't agree. The first way is that this game follows along the side of the actual story, much like REGS or REDA, the events aren't truly important to the storyline of the actual series. Of course we have the use of two EXTREMELY important RE characters, Barry Burton and Leon S. Kennedy, whom is coming out in his OWN game known as RE4. So this is how I can see RE: Gaiden effecting RE4. The purpose of RE:Gaiden can be as a "fill in" for events leading up to RE4. Umbrella is apparently destroyed but not quite...I surmise this because of the constant betrayal since I'm sure most of this organization relies on these ex-employees and Umbrella is still the main enemy in Gaiden. In RE4 Umbrella is no more. Also, we've heard many a rumor that Leon somehow contracts a new virus in RE4, perhaps this virus is the same virus in RE:Gaiden? So it's my belief that this game basically takes place with the events right after Raccoon City and before RE4, much like RECV, REGS and REDA. Gaiden is a way of explaining Leon and Barry's whereabouts while Chris and Claire are off doing their thing. I guess in short, Gaiden is a filler for the series. It allows the gamer to see what Barry and Leon were doing while the others were fighting Umbrella. It also gives one hypothesis as to how Leon gets infected in RE4. For all we know he could very well be infected as you start out. But it's also fair to say that Gaiden, while for the GBA, was used more as a beta test to see how a story would work on a ship, or with an infected main character. My advice, don't fret over it, don't even consider it. RE4 will really answer all questions anyone may have.

If none of that answered your question then it's my fault and I am retarded. But I just found this little tidbit online to sorta back what I was saying about it being a filler series that seems to possibly coincide with the events of RECV, or may occur a little before or a little after.
Either Umbrella has developed a new type of Tyrant, or some other
organization has. Suspects about another company making experiments
on Bio-Organic Weapons, already raised in Code Veronica, seem to be
confirmed.
So Leon was scooped up rather quickly into this organization since I believe that the events of RECV didn't happen too long after Raccoon City was destroyed.

Looming Shade Why is Jill so damn hot? And why is Wekser so damn badass? Well I'm sure Kali would disagree with you on Jill being so hot. But I'm sure one thing goes that shes the main character in a survival horror series, so she needs to be hot. You don't make main characters ugly, they are the ones you kill off. As for Wesker being so badass. It's his monotone voice, sunglasses at night, slicked blond hair and his complete disregard for the welfare of others. Wesker is a cool calculating leader who seems to be exceptionally self confident in his ability to control outcomes. This all translates into BAD a**

Ultimate Bebi Looming Shade Why is Jill so damn hot? And why is Wekser so damn badass? Well I'm sure Kali would disagree with you on Jill being so hot. But I'm sure one thing goes that shes the main character in a survival horror series, so she needs to be hot. You don't make main characters ugly, they are the ones you kill off. As for Wesker being so badass. It's his monotone voice, sunglasses at night, slicked blond hair and his complete disregard for the welfare of others. You know after having two weeks of being on the road i got to thinking (and no thats not a first!) and serioulsy that Corey Hart song about wearing sunglasses at night could totaly be Wesker's theme song...i came up with a theme song for almost all the characters but i think Wesker's is the most fitting.

Ada's job was originally to act as John Howe's girlfriend. John Howe was one of the main researchers at the Spencer Estate. So obviously Bioject felt that she could get the information they needed. I can't really recall where exactly Bioject came from, but it's in my mind that this is the official name of the company that is battling Umbrella for the market. Annette seems to have known all along that Ada was a spy, but with a husband like William, she would have to be paranoid as well. In either case Ada is alive, since Wesker's 2nd Report states she was still of use to him. So he rescued her and the Epilogues at the end of RE3 back this fact up.

Well, I knew she was still alive already (She's even wearing the pendant at the end of Leon B), I just forgot that Annette said 'She specifically got close to John to get information about Umbrella...' meaning she's obviously from a different company. Ha, and it was from the same conversation too, I have swiss cheese for brains sometimes sweatdrop Oh well, thanks anyway! You are the friggin Ultima guru! (And I like that name bioject. It's a hell of alot better than 'HCF')

tragic cat What does the "J" in Albert J. Wesker stand for? That's something I myself have wondered but never ben able to find out. I'm sure it's along the same lines of Homer Simpson finding out what his J. stood for. *Wesker sees a mural of himself as a child, his name written underneath it with a small shrub blocking the middle name.* "From this day on I will no longer be known as ALbert J. Wesker, but as Albert Jay Wesker."
