Yes yes, this is the one where I was about to make into an rp but I thought I would be taking to much control of things so here it goes.

Prologue

Prelude To War

"NO!!" Shouted Dalvin, as he watched as the Black Knight removed his blade from his master's body. "Dalvin, there's no time. Let's go now!" Mark was pulling Dalvin to escape before they met the same fate. Dalvin and Mark ran through a secret door which led to the dark catacombs of underneath the city where they would lose the knights and regroup with the king. "They won't find us now, let's get going before we lose anyone else." Mark said quietly as they turned a left and went through the complicated tunnels which they had to memorize since they were body guards to the king. They stopped in front of a wall and Mark drew his blade. The bright silver shone unnaturally bright in the darknes, It was a Sun Blade and only members of The Blades could own one. The blade was set in a gold hilt ornate with twelve different gems around the crosspiece with one large white crystal on the end. Dalvin had a blade just like it, there were only thirteen in existence. One for each member of the blades and for the master. Mark took his sword and slid it into a small whole just the perfect size for the sword. The door opened suddenly and they both went through. Talon was pacing in the large room studying a map laid out on a table. He was young, handsome, and most of all, the king of Drathor. He was younger even than Dalvin, but Dalvin didn't care much for politics or any of the blades for that matter. "They have attacked on all sides, we're surrounded. The only escape is through the catacombs." The king said. "Where is Blothor?" Dalvin felt a sharp pain at the sound of his master's name. Both knights stood silent and Talon immediately understood. "Oh, this is not good news and I'm afraid I have worse news. we've lost three more blades." Dalvin and Mark knew that Talon meant the knights, none of them would let there blade be taken from them unless they were litterately pried from their cold hands. "Which ones?" Mark asked first. "Loria, Loth, and Glen" Talon answered. "My lord, it is no longer safe. We need to get the others and escape. We don't stand a chance, we have never experienced anything like this." Mark said moving to the map. "I know it is hard to leave your people sire, but you don't do much good ." The young king stood looking at his map of the city. "I know, bu-" Just then, there was a loud noice just outside the door. Dalvin and Mark had already drawn their weapons ready to fight. The door burst open and five black armored knights filed in faster than seemed natural. Dalvin and Mark stood in front of the King ready for and attack. Then a black clothed man entered the room. "So good of you to open your door at my arrival Talon." The man said grinning menacingly. He had white hair which covered his right eye, the left eye was clearly visible as a dark gray which peirced the sould. They all knew who he was. "Dryke, why are you attacking my kingdom?" Talon asked angrily. Dryke laughed "Your kingdom, the kingship is rightfully mine." Talon grew angry "You forfeited your kingship and you know it." This made Dryke quiet down. "You don't know what your talking about? I, being older, wiser, and as you can see more powerful than you can ever hope to be." "You say this with six men standing at your side." Talon retorted. "And what makes you any different hiding behind your so called blades, best fighters to ever live, the holy protectors of the line. Well they don't protect the real line any longer." Dryke paused then continued"Besides they don't seem so strong now, being cut down to two." Dalvin blinked at this, they couldn't have killed all of them. One of the black knights saw Dalvin drop his guard and attacked. Dalvin sidestepped to be directly in front of the knight and Talon and deflected the blow but recevied penalty by takeing a cut to the bicep. Dalvin held his tounge, not saying a word but now they were surrounded. "You see, they are nothing compared to the nights of the black hand." Just then did Dalvin realized that one of his hands was gloved while the other wasn't. "Now, with my knights, I will take the kingship which was rightfully mine in the first place. Then all the land will kneel before me and fear the knights and not the blades." "Not on your life!" Said a defiant voice from the rafters. Seven knights jumped down with bright silver blades gleaming in the light. Mark and Dalvin joined in the fight, it was now nine to six. Talon had already escaped through the door. Dryke scremed with rage. "Destroy them!" Then he disappeared through the main door. More knights streamed through the door makeing the blades outnumbered. The blades stood in a tight circle all facing outward defending themselves from the onslaught. "There is too many of them!" Scremed Reyu. Just then a scream peirced their ears. "Trilay!" screamed one of the blades. The blades were then started to lose more as Gloral and Fistel went down. "NO!" Dalvin screamed for the second time that day. "RUN!" Mark screamed. They all systematically collapsed the circle and ran for the door with Mark in front and Dalving behind him. Two knights stood in their path. "Dalvin go!" Mark shouted as he bent low. Dalvin jumped onto Mark's shoulders and jumped off while Mark pushed him forward launching Dalvin into the air. The knights watched Dalvin and readied for his attack. Then, Mark threw his sword straight one of the knights while he was still running. The sharp metal peirced straight through the armor and embedded itself into the knight. An inhuman scream came from the knight just as Dalvin came down right on top of the second knight thrusting his sword in through its heart. Another knight slashed at Dalvin but Dalvin had seen it comeing and had already grabbed Mark's sword from the first knight and blocked the blow following through with his own sword slashing at the knights legs. The knight toppled over and Dalvin spun completely around slicing another knight with Mark's sword then finished the spin by throwing Mark's sword straight up into the air and finished the legless knight. Another knight was comeing for Dalvin so Mark jumped with his powerful legs right over Dalvin, caught his sword in middair and came down with a front flip for more momentum cleaving the knight. They got to the door but the knights had stopped the other four blades. "Dalvin, Mark!" Shouted Raythu. They spun around and watched as the knights surrounded the four other warriors. Raythu, Flaïr, Shenray, and Drathlor had all fought off the knights from behind to keep Mark and Dalvin from harm but had traded their lives for it. "Get out of here now, don't let Drathor fall!" Dalvin had been trained to show no weakness but that did not stop the tears from comeing to his eyes as he shut the door leaving the rest of the blades to their demise.
