Ok so anybody who has ever went to a Convention and probally even people that havent know that people like to dress as there favorite character.
In January I went to an Ohio based con named Ohayocon and im planning on going next year.
Next year I want to cosplay someone and as most of you could guess I want to do Ovan. The problem is this is a VERY difficult cosplay so if anybody has any ideas on how i could do this cosplay feel free to tell and also tell about any conventions you have gone to or plan on going to and also talk about cosplays that you have or plan on doing.

I don't have any direct suggestions on the actual costume, but I do know that www.cosplaylab.com is a really good place to ask others about how they used different materials like plastics and things like that for weapons and such, as well as seeing what others did in their rendition of whatever character you're looking for. They also have links to other websites such as color contacts and things like that.

I WAS AT OHAYO!!!!! I was dressed as Namine (white dress carrying a Mickey Plushie in a black coat) As for Ovan costume, I say raid a Goodwill for the basic clothes, go to your local Halloween store for the wig (and possibly cut it if needed), and for the armor use cardboard and ducktape. That's what most people do. biggrin I'll ask my friend, Ed. He's a cosplay genius. He's dressing up as DDD for Brawl's release, and he made a "Saya Man" costume from DBZ. xd

I love the Kairi outfit! I live in San Diego so I go to the San Diego Comic-con. I don't have any pictures of myself or anything from there since I didn't have a camera. But, I do have pictures that my friends took from there. This is my friend Vivi's pics from last year. Vivi dressed up as Tifa Lockhart from Advent Children. She made the entire outfit herself. She officially hates pleather and will never work with it again, but I think it was worth it. My friend Angeline is the one in the school uniform.

I know a fabric I'll never work with again... I don't remember what it's called, but my Namine costume was made from it. It fraid (sp?) something awful... Mickey's costume on the otherhand worked like a charm. xd

Pleather is basically fake leather. It has the same sheen, and almost the same texture but it's way less expensive. Also, I think you mean "frayed".
Speaking of Mickey costumes- My friend, Kelly, she made an Axel costume with the wig and everything. SHe brought her coat to school one day to show us. She did a really awesome job on it. She also showed us a pic of the wig she made. Unfortunately she didn't go to Comic-con with us. Instead she went ot Anime Expo up in Los Angeles.
