It was late February when Elizabeth decided to help clean the incense shop. Valentine candy wrappers and unwanted cards were still laying all around the shop, and someone had to clean it. It was also time to prepare for St. Patrick's Day and Easter - two of Liz's favorite holidays.
Since everyone at her home was sick except her, she decided to volunteer for the job. Something that she very much enjoyed, actually, since she was smaller and faster than the others. Her little black wings were what helped buzz her about, taking down one decoration and putting up another.
There were some little black feathers on the ground, too, from her own wings. Her house mate, Sylvera, would have loved to played with them. She liked to tickle her own nose with them, and end up sneezing. But it was one of the very few times when she was ever friendly. Elizabeth's girlfriend, Sofia, had been away on a tour, but she would have also loved to stuff that old pillow with them...
...She shook her head. "Oh, I hope that I won't be the only one here today..." Liz sighed. "That would be SO boring. *Ero Kuseru, Demo Beshi."
*I'm bored, but whatever.

It was late in February when Lenore finally came back to the incense shop that she had come from. Lady had been forced to stay home because of a very long essay about good and bad teachers that was due the next day. As far as Lady was concerned, all the teachers she had had were pretty bad since they all taught her about stuff that she already knew and the teachers tended to assign plenty of homework to do. Lenore had tried to help her with her essay to no success, and Lady was suffering from Writers' Block as ever.
Lenore silently pushed open the door with the tiny paw that wasn't holding a golden heart. She glanced around the shop, there were candy wrappers, stray cards everywhere and a tiny little girl with feathery wings. Lenore's interest was immediately caught, the girl was tiny. From her owner, Lenore knew that this girl must be one of the Kunkuns, but she had never known that Kunkuns were so small. She watched the Kunkun for a while zooming about taking down decorations and puttiing up different ones. At the same time, some of the feathers from the Kunkun's wings fell to the ground.
The Kunkun was muttering to herself and Lenore distinctly heard that she wished that she wasn't the only one here today. She decided to approach her.
"Hi! Aamha!"said Lenore.

Elizabeth jumped when she heard the voice, falling into a pile of paper clovers. The pile of them had been so big that it had covered her totally, all except for her little feet, which were kicking about. Then she sat up quickly, pulling a smaller one from her hair and adjusting her crown. The black halo above her head seemed to be fine, though.
Her big brown eyes were warm towards the Pala. Maybe because this was the first pala who had ever taken the time to chat with her. "A-amha. Tenetenar?" She grinned, brushing back a strand of blue and black hair. Though here Kunkunese had gotten a bit rough since she learned English, she could still remember most of it. "Do you happen to speak English?" Elizabeth felt silly for asking.

Lenore tilted her head a bit, she had been rather surprised when the Kunkun had jumped and landed into a pile of paper clovers. She had almost giggled and her violet eyes danced merrily.
"I'm Lenore."said Lenore uncertainly, her English wasn't that good and it was a bit hard sounding out the syllables though her owner, Lady had helped her practice a bit, but it was rather hard considering Lady spoke Chinese half the time to her grandparents and Lenore was still puzzled about how there could be so many languages in the world. It was rather strange indeed as Lady was learning Spanish at school, sign language for fun and going to learn Lating in the summer. All these languages made Lenore's head swim.
"Yes, I do, though I apologize that I'm not quite good at it yet."continued Lenore still trying to pronouce the words correctly, "Tenetenar?"She paused relizing that she was speaking Kunkunese, "Sorry, I meant 'What's your name?' I'm not really used to speaking English."She said scratching her head in embarrasment.

Elizabeth continued to smile at the pala known as Lenore. "Aamha, Lenore! I'm Elizabeth, but you can just call me Liz for...Tol?" She knew that the word meant small, but it was supposed to be 'short'. Liz's wings fluttered, her gloved hand going to her chin. "I am a bit of a Pakheen when it comes to Kunkunese."
She turned, taking down another heart and placing up a clover. "Do you want to help decorate Daspaku with clovers?" She couldn't remember the phrase for 'to help', so she wrinkled her nose. Oh, how she hated to forget such things at a time like this. "Ihini, you can put these put if you want."

Lenore was a bit puzzled for a moment by Elizabeth's word usage and wondered what she meant. Then it clicked and Lenore's violet eyes danced happily to finally understand. "Sarahnde. Okay, I'll call you Liz."Lenore laughed lightly at Liz's next comment and said, "I am a bit of a Pakheen when it comes to English."
"Sek. Pana should Ero hang them?"asked Lenore picking up a clover with the paw that wasn't holding the tiny golden heart. Lenore paused, she had realized that it would be rather difficult to hang clovers up with an object in one of her paws. "Ummm...taza san know pana ero can put this?*"*Do you know where I can put this?

Elizabeth turned, staring down at the tiny gold heart. "Wow..." she whispered softly, before translating it to 'Huxa'. *"San can put dalu Ihini," Liz!Kun said, still whispering softly. "It's so shiny!"
She continued putting up ornaments, and was almost finished when her tummy began to growl. *"Ara ara. Senek Eran should go a Jugas." Elizabeth ruffled her hair, in frustration. She had no idea if what she had just said was right, or if she had just said something wild. "I need a translator," she mumbled.
*You can put it here. *Oops. Maybe we should go to eat.

"Sannuk, Thank you."said Lenore giving Liz a small smile. She sat the tiny golden heart with the red ribbon round it into the corner of the floor, so it would be out of the way.
Lenore helped Elizbeth put up the ornaments as much as she could. When Liz said that they should go eat, she said, "Sek. Ero am hungry too."said Lenore nodding, she was getting pretty hungry too, Lenore paused and said, "It's okay, I better practice my English better or else I would have a very hard time communicating with my owner, Lady."Lenore gave a small laugh like the tinkling of muscial bells.

Elizabeth smiled, and nodded in relief. "Just poke me if you don't know what I am saying." Her wings began to flutter, and she lifted into the air. "Follow me. I know of a cute café where we can go to eat." She held out her hand, expecting Lenore to take it, and them to both fly to the café just a few blocks away.
"You can fly with your wings, right?" Elizabeth asked, scratching her head and pointing to the pala's wings.

"Oh, okay."said Lenore taking Liz's hand. She wondered what kind of food the café served and how far it was from the incense shop.
Lenore paused, looking at her own cream colored wings with red ribbons on them, "Yes, of course I can, but not too far though, the ribbons tend to get caught in with the feathers and pull off a few sometimes."She said nodding. She hoped that the café wasn't that far or else she might have to walk near the end.

The noir angel kun winked at the pala, grabbing hold of hier hand. With that, and a gust of wind, they were off! "It is not too far from here. Just let me know if you get tired." They buzzed over a few cottages, buildings, and trees before starting to come to a stop.
Liz!Kun's wings were much larger than Lenore's wings, but in the end, she knew Lenore would grow to be bigger and probably much stronger than herself. She had read that different palas had different gifts, and wondered what hers could possibly be.
Before she knew it, they were at the café. It seemed fairly large, and there were many flowers surrounding it. "Here we are!" she exclaimed, slowly floating towards the ground. She went to knock on the door, but stopped. Liz gulped, slowly turning to Lenore. "There maybe some others in here that are a bit...strange. You know?" Elizabeth scratched her head, and ruffled her hair. Then, they proceeded to enter.
Inside were many different palas and kuns. Some were very colorful, and some of the Kun-kuns even wore armor. But it was perhaps the Kyunrus that might have shocked Lenore. They were HUGE compared to themselves, and all seemed very loud. "See what I mean? Everyone here is very kind. Don't mind them." Elizabeth's eyes wondered the café, until she found a place to sit. "They will come and ask for our orders," she said, smiling. Lenore and Liz both opened their menus at the same time. It was written in both Kunkunese and English, also have a small description of the food underneath the name.
While Lenore still appeared to be browsing, Elizabeth's eyes were bouncing around the room. "Hey!" she finally shouted, reaching across the table to poke the focused pala. "See that female kyun over there? The black one with a ribbon veil blind thingy over her eyes? I live with her! Miss Ev calls her Sylvera." Upon hearing her name, she turned to look at the little kun, but was quickly distracted by a big, white fluffy thing. "Oh, and that's Lasuk. He belongs to Miss Lizzy." Elizabeth made a grossed out face, sticking out her tongue. "I think Sylvera and Lasuk like each other."

"Oh, that's good."said Lenore smiling and took off. It was wonderful feeling the cool air on her face and quite refreshing too. She had a gorgeous view of the cottages' roofs and tree tops, and soon, they had reached the café. It seemed pretty large with the pala, and the flowers were beautiful.
"Wow. The flowers are so beautiful here."said Lenore smiling as she peered at a buttercup, and turned when Liz gulped and turned towards herself. Lenore was rather puzzled, but said, "Oh, okay." and followed Elizabeth into the café.
The café were full of palas, kunkunss....and Lenore gulped, Kyunrus. The kyunrus were huge compared to herself and rather scary too. They seemed to be speaking extremely loud compared to her own voice. Lenore managed to put on a small smile and nodded as she followed Liz to the table. She opened up the menu. Lenore was very glad that the menu was written in Kunkunese too because she couldn't really read English.
Everything on it looked extremely delicious. Lenorew as just debating on what to pick when Elizabeth poked her. She looked up and looked towards the place Liz was pointing at. "That's nice."said Lenore giggling.

Returning to her menu, Elizabeth had finally decided what to order. She loved steak, and also the potato that came on the side. But, Liz!Kun was having trouble choosing what to drink.
"I don't happen to see a waiter anywhere." Her eyes scanned the room, and she brushed another strand of hair behind her ear. "I wonder if all the kyuns are keeping them busy?"

"Well, there are plenty of customers today, so I suppose that they are quite busy?"suggested Lenore as she continued to read her menu. Everything on it looked perfectly delicious, but of course she couldn't eat everything without blowing up midway.
"I can't really decide between these dishes, everything looks so delicious, do you have any suggestions?"Lenore asked Liz.
