Marbles smiled and took a deep breath of the cool air drifting from over the lake. She had just been walking around exploring when she found it. It was beautiful! She walked as close to the edge as she could and sat down. She knew that in a few hours the sun would be going down, and she imagined that it would look amazing over the lake. As she waited she sighed, a bit sad to be alone.

Dracier walked over to Marbles quietly, trying not make any sounds and he nestled past the cat-tails. He sat down next to Marbles, wondering what she ws thinking so solemly about, and put his paw in the water carefully, waching the glassy water ripple so peacefully.

Marbles didn't notice Dracier walk up and sit down until she saw the ripple in the water. She looked over to see what had caused it, and saw Dracier sitting beside her. "Oh!" she exclaimed, "Dracier! I'm so happy to see you!" she said smiling. She snuggled beside him, happy to have a companion to share the beauty of the lake with. "Isn't it beautiful?" she asked him.

He snuggled her back and then looked at the peacefull scenary. The ripple had finished, leaving the pond once more with a glassy surface that perfectly reflected the small bushes and water plants, and still showed the fish undernieth, almost seeming to fly among them. Dragonflies were buzzing around them with the occasional water fowl taking to the skies. "Yes, it is very beautiful," he replied after taking all of it in.

Marbles watched the bugs buzz around and the fish swim in the water. It was peaceful. A dragonfly landed on her nose, making her sneeze, sending the dragonfly away. She giggled as she watched it leave. She signed and turned to Dracier. "Do you ever wish you could fly?"

Dracier looked solemly up at the clouded sky in responce to Marbles question. "Yes, I wish I could. To be able to be so high and see the world form a different veiw, I'd love that." He sighed and before continuing, "The closest I'll ever get to it though is the top of a tall tree." He then looked back to her. "What about you?"

She followed his gaze to the clouds and then brought her eyes back on him. "I would love to be able to fly too. I mean, I guess I could if I really tried, but I don't know..." She sighed and then smiled at him, "Oh, but you're right, climbing is fun, and pretty close to flying!" ^_^

Dracier smiled back at Marbles and chuckled a little bit. "Why don't you go find another namir with wings and ask them how to fly then? I'm sure you'd learn really quckly!"

"It's not that I don't think I could learn...I guess I'm just afraid to.." she sighed and hung her head a little, watching the perfection of the glassy water. "I don't know if my wings are strong enough." She dipped her paw in the water, making another ripple and causing a few fish to scurry away.

"I see...," Dracier said as he looked at the lake. "Well, I'm sure you'd be great at it if you tried." He then smiled and gave her a small peck on the cheek before jumping into the water and distorting the glassy surface. "It's cold in here," he studdered after returning to the surface.

She smiled and watched him jump in the water. After he came out she giggled at him, "Of course it's cold, silly! It is winter after all. But you know, it will be spring soon!" She smiled warmly at him and nuzzled against him to help warm him up.

He shivered and then poued a ittle at Marbles. "I wasn't expecting it to be that cold," he mumbled. After being nuzzled a little he stood up and shook the water off of himself, and smiles with his eyes closed at Marbles. "There, now that's better!" He cheerfully said over to her before opening his eyes and reliezing he got her all wet. "Umm... oops?"

Marbles shivered as water was shook on her. "It is colder than it looks!" she said shivering again. "But, it's ok. I'm fine." She giggled and then began licking areas of her fur to get the water out. After she got the water out she smiled at Dracier and said, "Do you want to take a walk around the lake?"

Dracier smiled at the suggestion. "Yeah, I would like that!" he said before starting to prance about the lake. "It looks like it'll be sunset soon, I can't wait!"

"Great!" she said standing up and following Dracier. "I bet the sunset will be so pretty! Especially seeing from the lake!" Just then a frog leaped out of the lake and landed right in front of Marbles. "Crooooaaak!"
"Ah!" She exclaimed in a surprised way. She froze and then realized that it was a frog. She giggled and almost fell over on the ground from laughing at herself. "Well, hello there, Mr. Frog." she giggled.
