Set aside from the rest of the leagues is a large castle, it's towers winding up to jagged points. The only way to the castle is a long bridge, so narrow two men could not pass each other without danger of falling.
Inside, the castle has a dark, gothic setting. Black candles float about, letting off a soft glow, giving just enough glow to see shapes and few shadows. Blood red curtains block out light from huge black stained glass windows. The entrance room branches off into several dark corridors, which lead to the many spiraling staircases that lead to the upper levels of the castle. Only the Maester's room is found on the lower level.
When you enter the Maester's room, there is a large black desk facing the door. The chair behind it is greatly over sized, and is carved into an intricate lotus flower.
