Do you think we will get renewed? Personally I think hell yes. Especially considering its one of the only good shows the CW has, I think we have a very good chance. And also with last nights ratings, the CW released a press article: ClickyI think we're up for a big non-suprise in the summer biggrin

Agreed. I think we're actually in better standing this year than last. I'm not worried at all over renewal. 3nodding

Thing is, Supernatural keeps consistent ratings. Never drops too much, and has quite good ratings over-all. A boost of ratings triggering a press release is a bit kiss-arse, but a sign of good things to come.
So, you think Lilith holds Dean's contract? 'Cos I can specifically remember a reference to "he who holds the contract" and something about "he won't give it up that easily". I might be mistaken though, rewatch needed. It's the one where Sammy kills the Crossroads demon.

There have been a few people who think she's the one who holds his contract. Even with just her reference to the boys as "One's tall and one's cute." We all know she wants to kill Sam, but what about Dean?

We all know she wants to kill Sam, but what about Dean? She'll take him down to get to Sam. Problem is Ruby's taught him how to cope with life without Dean. Interesting... Hope the 4 extra eps explain it smile

So... any theories regarding Season Four?
I personally think Dean will die at the end of S3. I don't want some random method appearing which can save Dean. The whole seasons' been building up and building up to Dean going to Hell. There's nothing he can do about it, and I shall stomp on any Deus Ex Machina which arises! Let S4 pick up the pieces!
I wonder if the Colt or Ruby's knife can kill Lilith?

I think Dean dying isn't the one and only acceptable way how to wrap up S3. We shouldn't forget that demons lie and like messing with people... Who said that Ruby was telling the truth to either of the boys? It's pretty likely that she said what 'needed to be said' to get the boys do what she wanted them to do... Just one possibility.
Not saying that Dean can't die at the end of the S3. I think it would be pretty cool if we could get a glimpse of what Hell looks like...
I think we can still be surprised. Kripke has proven many times that he is able to come up with very surprising pointes.
Not sure about the Colt or the knife. I must say the first thing that hit me on Lilith was her eyes, the colour. Not like the colours we've already seen. She could be a very special demon.
One of my friends even thinks she could be in fact one of the special kids raised by the demons... Just using her abilities... So, I think we have a LOT to look forward to. heart

My original theory of Sam saving Dean by using his powers to control demons has been thrown out the window due to his whole "not having powers" thing... so other than that, yeah, I think there's a good chance that Dean could die at the end. But my other theory remains:
If one goes, so does the other.
If that means they both go to Hell or what, I dunno just yet. I look forward to seeing what Kripke has come up with though.
As for Lilith? Well, Azazel was a fairly high level demon from my understanding, and the Colt worked on him, so I don't see why it wouldn't work on Lilith as well, even if it just hurts her. The trick is, will the guys be able to even use it on her? I mean, she's inhabiting/possessing the body of a small girl. They use the Colt or that knife on her, they kill the girl too, assuming they work on her or can even get close enough to use it.
Then there's the little problem of Bela having stolen the Colt as well. Whether they fix that problem in S3 or S4 though, who knows.
