sup guys. now I know this has been done before (sort of), but I have different issues to discuss
So! Kissing, kisses, et cetera in (american)/(your home) culture. First kisses? kiss etiquette? how were you brought up thinking about kisses, kiss etiquette? is it different from american etiquette if you don't live in america or didn't always live in america, and vice versa? as in, is the concept of saving one's first kiss outdated, romantic, absurd? what constitutes a first kiss? What do your parents think about kissing? what do your friends think? what do you think is polite for PDA? what do your friends think? what does your significant other think (if you have one)? Finally, tell me about your first kiss, your best kiss experience, et cetera. :3 just discuss. kissing. yeah.
heh.

Wow, that's a lot to cover.
Well, I think a first kiss is whatever you want it to be. If you want to count that little peck some guy randomly gave you in 6th grade as a first kiss, then it is. On the same account, that dweeb who planted a juicey one on your lips when you were forced to sit next to him on the bus definately doesn't need to count as your first kiss.
For me personally, my first kiss needed to be something that I didn't regret or rush into. It needed to be privately done and fresh and sweet. It needed to be with someone I had a special relationship with. And my boyfriend nailed it. A couple weeks before we started going out he told me all the time he was just going to kiss me. He kept IM-ing me saying that when I lead expected it, he would strike... so of course, I was a little worried that my first kiss wouldn't live up to my expectations.
However, he waited until after he asked me out and I had invited him to my house to hang out. We went for a walk after dark and we didn't make it very far until he pulled me close and kissed me. It was just a tender peck on the lips... no hard making out... but that is just the way I wanted my first kiss to be.
I was 18 and that was my first kiss... and that was my first kiss... ... the boy I kissed by the cubbies in kindergarten only counted as my first kiss up to that moment. ((mostly so I could always say that I had been kissed during games of truth and dare without feeling like a reject))
As for saving one's first kiss? I guess that concept doesn't really exist in my mind as a first kiss is whatever you want it to be.
