Minder? Need someone to mind? Just acquired an egg and is getting tired of sitting on it? Or perhaps you want more fluff in your life and have thought about getting an adoptive chick?
This is the place for you! Slander For anyone still searching, here are some reasons for an egg/hatchling/fledgling to go to a Minder:
- parents have more than two eggs (extra eggs go to the Minders) <- most common reason
- parents too busy to raise their hatchlings
- parents are deceased / MIA
Eggs aren't 'found' per se, they are given over rather deliberately. In rare cases both parents may die away from the nest, or leave an egg/hatchling at a Minder's 'doorstep', but that's as close to abandoned as a young Sentinel could get. They are still working on increasing their population, so no socially-responsible Sentinel would willingly abandon an egg or hatchling to potential death. Even freaks like Dodger and Odd Winter found their way to the Minders for care.
This is a thread designated to match up lone eggs with jobless minders. Get a head start on your future rp by already having your fluff associated with a rped Sentinel!

The little Shadow colored egg sat closely on the branch of the minders. The Sentinel that had brought her here had not been her mother, nor had it been her father.. The little Shadow Sentinel had been left by a good meaning Sentinel that had found the youngster all alone.
From the looks of it, it had been abandoned. But the older Owl didn't think it was the case.. as the parents had dissappeared for days.. And the little egg had been left.
He called out to the others, and flew off.. The egg residing on the branch in its warm nest.

Her parents had too many eggs and her siblings are loud and crass and they desired someone to watch over her. At the end of their ropes, they are.

Liam is more than willing to take on an egg or two! If Natsube and Buffy don't mind, he'll take them back to his enclave. Medlar and he share the Minding.
They are already watching over Winterwind and Aspen.

Timber will be coming out of retirement as soon as her character form is accepted, and she would be more than happy to take on an egg or two, whoever is interested! She has no qualms with any type of sentinel [but please, just keep her away from that spectre].

She's been accepted! So yes, Natsube and Buffy, if either of you would like for Timber to mind your egg, just say so [be sure to read up on her personality in the RP sentinel thread first!]

A little black egg with even smaller little black dots speckled across it sat on a branch outside the enclave of Minders. Whether grudgingly given by her parents--indeed it was a her, and any who could sense the gender of an unhatched chick would know--or by some unseen stranger is unknown.
Nonetheless, the little egg's nest would not remain warm for too long. Hopefully the Minders had heard the call of the Sentinel that had left the egg on their "doorstep." Whoever it was either did not want to be known or was heartbroken at having to all but abandon their unhatched chick.
