I've thought this over...
And I saw people wanted to have an OOC-chat, but I also agreed with Raven, that way we'll have new threads jumping up each saying "I'm bored, wanna chat" staying a page or two, then it dies...
pity of the space, of the energy, of everything...
So, to make it real simple, I created this thread...
What is it, you ask?
It's a thread where you can talk out of character, and no, you don't have to chat about Harry Potter.. That's what the rest of this sub-forum is dedicated to!

Sure there are rules..

~ Follow ToS, no cussing, swearing, spamming, begging, advertising et cetera et cetera...

I do have a question pertaining to Harry Potter. haha I've never really looked into the subject, and I don't mean to sound like an inexperienced Harry Potter fan, but is there a certain age that you have to be in order to be an animagus? I made my RP character one, but I'm not sure if I'm exactly allowed to. any help? hah
I also noticed that the first post of this had french at the end. razz do any of you speak french?

yeah, i'm taking french in school biggrin i'll be in AP French 5 this year, and i've been to France twice.
as for your question, i don't think there's a certain age exactly, because as you know, the marauders were animagi. the book does say that it took them years to figure out how to do it, so they must've been older students, at least 5th years or so. so i don't think there's a particular age, but i know it's a law that animagi have to register themselves with the ministry of magic. rita skeeter was an unregistered animagus, and hermione used it as blackmail against her. i think sirius was also unregistered, because no one knew he could turn into a dog, which is how he escaped azkaban.

yes, that's what I thought, but I just wasn't exactly sure.
and you are so lucky. razz I've only taken one semester of french at my school and I won't be able to take it again for another year or so because i'm going to tech for culinary arts.

haha well if you're taking culinary arts you definitely shouldn't give up on French ^_~ are you planning on becoming some sort of chef?

yeah kinda. my dad was a tsu chef when he went to school for pastry, it made me really interested in the profession so i decided iwanted to go. i've always really liked fine cuisine..like fancy foods and whatnot, but if i were to study all of that, i don't know where I'd go with it once i get out of school. I want to stay in my state but I'm not sure if there are any places that I'm really looking for. So I was thinking then about turning to pastry, but I guess I'm just going to take my first year studying culinary arts and see what I like best. The thing is though, with going to this Tech school, we go for half the day, and then come to my HighSchool for the rest of the day, but that only allows me to take my main classes, like my algebra and humanities and whatnot. so I can't take a french class until I stop going to tech.

Ah, cool. I guess cooking will just remain a hobby for me, though. Like baking, acting, art and photography. If I wanted to turn all my hobbies into work I wouldn't know where to begin xDDD I'd be studying for life, too. xD
@ Full Moon: All of the marauder's gang were unregistered, weren't they? That was the whole point of sneaking off with Lupin. That nobody knew what they were.
As to your question about french, Xox (which is what I nicknamed you just now after wondering how best to shorten your username xD) , I do speak it a bit, but it's tres abominable. My other languages are a lot more fluent. 3nodding

can't help but wonder if you'll be adding a Hogsmeade section..? I think it would be fun to have, with students having freetime inbetween weeks of classes. just a suggestion. :]

Why is no one ever RP's teachers enjoying themselves and only in the class room? i mean surely they must have a lounge where they can relax and talk to one another right? o.O
