Background: If one asked Shadow when his most most cherished experience was, he'd tell you it was when he was beaten for being a b*****d. It was then that Shadow realized what he was and what he was capable of doing. He killed the assailants and quickly learned about the raw high of killing someone. Just the abuse and violence of it warped his mind enough for him to have a change of heart over night. He often sells his talents to the highest bidder, getting paid for something as rich as a drug for him.
